Of course not! The police are in her apartment

Just then, Colleen heard a thud. She tensed. Bakuto wouldn't be back, surely.

"I'm telling you, I heard-" suddenly a cop opened the door to her bathroom. Colleen immediately shrieked again, covering her body.

Oh god, she'd thought it was over.

"Get out!" she shouted.

Another cop came into view. Colleen squealed; she moved to grab for her towel, only for them to pull a gun on her. She stiffened.

"Don't move!" the cop at the back barked.

"I just want my towel!" she said.

"This is your apartment?" he said.

"Yes!" she said back indignantly. Did she think she'd strip down in someone else's?!

"And the weapons?"

Oh. Shit.

The Super must have let them in, after they'd heard of a burglary. It wouldn't have been far from that to seeing her collection.

"I run a dojo," Colleen said.

"For edged weapons?" the cop said.

She faltered.

"It's legal," she said. "I've got the paperwork-"

"We'll see about that," he said. "We're going to need you to come down to the station."

Colleen groaned. Great, on top of everything...

"Just let me get dressed first," she said. The cop's grip on his gun tightened.

"Do you think we're stupid?" he said. "Someone that's got all that ninja shit just lying around, you think we're going to let you near anything in here? You're coming with us to the station right now, or I'm going to charge you with resisting arrest."

What? Colleen's eyes widened. Oh god, no, she was not going to be dragged naked through the building again. She bucked back-

"That's it, cuff her," the cop at the back said.

Colleen squeaked as the closer cop came nearer, lifting up handcuffs. Oh god, with her hands behind her back she wouldn't even have a chance of modesty. She whimpered.

Was it worth the aggravation of fighting them? Assaulting police officers wouldn't make life here any easier. But oh god, they wanted to parade her naked through the apartment, the street, the station...
