Oni
Oni are a form of yokai. They are hulking giants who wield kanabÅ, spiked iron clubs that have the power to resist or reflect magic on contact.
They can magically change their bodies to the size of a small or medium humanoid, and their club will shrink along with them.
Oni come in many colours, though the most prominent are red and blue. Red and blue oni are natural rivals, being on similar power levels but having contradictory demeanours. Red oni are fierce and wild, while blue oni are more cool and dignified.
It is common for oni to be born as hermaphrodites, which leads to power struggles in sexual relations with the victor becoming the father and the loser becoming the mother of their children.
