Chapter 4 by ThomasMoro ThomasMoro

Does Penny take the assignment?

Of course, she does

"Okay," said Penny, "I'll take the assignment. When do I start?"

"10 a.m. on the Monday morning of next week," said the agent.

She handed Penny a sheet of paper. "Here's a list of things the client doesn't want to see."

"Wait a minute," said Penny. "You mean I can't just show up and take my clothes off? I have to prepare?"

"Well, he is paying you big bucks to do this," said the agent. "Because of that, he is entitled to have everything just so."

Penny read from the list. "No tan lines. No spray tans. No pubic hair. No tampon strings. No underwear marks... Geez, this guy doesn't want much, does he?"

"Well, you can still change your mind.." said the agent.

"No, I'll still do the assignment," said Penny. "It's just that this list makes my neighbor Sheldon Cooper seem downright flexible by comparison."

"Well, good," said the agent. "Because if you're going to back out, you might as well do it now while there is still time to get a replacement. If you back out any later, you'll never get another acting job in this town."

"So who is this client I'm going to be working for?"

"Some Internet millionaire named Barry Rico," said the agent. "Likes to spread his money around to all sorts of projects. Impress him with your work and there's no limit to the number of future assignments you might get."

"Okay," said Penny. "At least I'm not likely to run into anyone I know on this assignment."

"You want us to do what, Dr. Gablehauser?" asked Leonard Hofstadter.

"Meet with this guy Barry Rico at his home on Monday night," said Leonard's boss, Dr. Eric Gablehauser. "He's interested in donating a large sum of money to the university and he's especially interested in meeting you and Dr. Cooper."

"Well, I can understand his interest in me," said Dr. Sheldon Cooper, "but why would he want to meet Leonard?"

"He wants to see all you guys," said Dr. Gablehauser. "You, Dr. Hofstadter, Dr. Koothrappali and Mr. Wolowitz."

"Well, I'll go," said Dr. Cooper, "but unless he has an extraordinary collection of trains, I doubt I'll see anything interesting."

What happens Monday morning?
