Chapter 11 by earpsrhot earpsrhot

Does she catch up to Sara? What does she find?

No Sara, but...

Nyssa pulled the quiver on backwards again, the wider part of the container in front of her chest for what little that meant. She looked around for Sara. Sara had said she'd left her clothes back there, not just a lone accessory!

She'd last seen Sara somewhere...

Nyssa walked over to the nearest rock. She never stood in one place for too long out here, the ground warmed quickly under the never-ending heat of the sun and the rock here got far hotter than it did elsewhere. She gratefully jumped up to a larger, flat stone, looking around.

No sign of Sara, nor any sign of either her clothes or Sara's clothes. Nyssa lingered a moment, trying not to let desperation overwhelm her. Walking back to Nanda Parbat in just a quiver was the last thing she wanted.

Then she saw a strip of a slightly different color on a stone. She hopped over, pulling the quiver off again to kneel on it rather than rest on the scorching ground, and peered at a small note. The League often wanted members to carry pieces of parchment like that for messages.

Your next item of clothing is in the aleudw

Nyssa rolled her eyes at Sara's awkward transliteration, she'd never gotten the hang of that, but grabbed the note anyway. She knew where Sara was talking about, there was a small hollow in the plains not far from there. Well, not far from there when dressed, but while half a mile was a casual walk for an assassin then, it was still far too far when she didn't have a stitch on.

Then again, did she have any choice? Hopefully what awaited her was more substantial than a quiver...

Does Nyssa head out, or find some other path? Does any embarrassing situation await her there?
