Newfound Powers

Jessie Quick would proudly tell those who asked that she discovered her powers when a bus nearly hit her but that was only half the story. You see Jessie wasn't just running fast, she was running fast enough that the friction was enough to set her clothes on fire and sent her running nearly down the other side of the city in a blink of an eye.

When she stopped Jessie naturally noted her fiery problem shortly after realizing her speed powers and reacted as anyone would when they were on fire, she pat herself down. The problem of course was her clothes certainly weren't flame retardant. If anything the materials of her clothes only served to accelerate the flames, causing Jessie to actually rip her clothes off without even realizing it.

It wasn't until after that she realized that in her rush to remove her flaming clothing that she was quite simply put naked as the day she was born. Worse of all she had no money, no means of communicating her Father, and most importantly she was half way across Central City naked. Naturally she decided to access her powers again and speed home.
