Muck and suck

McKenzie looked down and noticed a few small tears in her shirt but nothing that would have causes such a loud ripping sound. She bent over to adjust her sandals, and heard a tearing sound from behind her. She reached around and felt her butt. The seat of her shorts had split open from waistband to crotch, and was still tearing. She stood up straight. "Damnit!" she said as she felt how big the tear was.

She was sore and itchy. She looked up and realized there was no way to climb back up the cliff. She looked around and thought she saw a small house through the trees and headed towards it. As she walked, the trees thinned out, but the underbrush grew thicker. She made her way towards a small glade when her foot sank into the ground.

Cursing under her breath, she saw she had walked into a boggy, muddy area. The ground looked firm as it was covered in green moss that hid the sloppy, sticky mud underneath. She pulled her foot out and saw her sandal was gone. It had been sucked off by the gooey mud. She reached down to search the mud. She sank her hand into the mud but could not find the sandal. She sank her hand in further and felt her sandal. She grabbed it and pulled. It came slowly, so she yanked hard. The sandal came free, but she hand yanked it with such ****, she fell back and landed on her ass in the muck. She started to sink.

McKenzie tried to get free, but the mud was sticky, wet, and soggy, and her butt kept sinking until it was covered. She kept sinking until the mud was up to her mid-thigh and waist. She looked over and saw a branch of a tree hanging low enough and near enough to grab. She grabbed it and pulled herself up. She managed to get up enough to free herself then turn herself but she lost her grip and fell face first into the muck.

She managed to get her face out of the muck. She was sinking again. She grabbed the branch. Her lower body was sinking into the muck. She pulled, but her lower body from the waist down was now in the muck. She pulled with all her might on the branch. As she did, she felt her shorts sliding off. She knew if she let go of the branch, her whole body would be back in the muck. Her face and the front of her shirt were coated in mud, and her entire lower body was in the muck. She kept pulling until she freed herself. She managed to pull herself to some drier ground. Her sandals and shorts were gone. What was worse is that her cell phone, wallet, and keys were in her shorts and were now somewhere in the muck, never to be seen again.

She stood up. Her panties, soaked in mud were drooping and she pulled them up. Mud had seeped into them and had coated her privates and ass. She wiped as much mud from her face as she could.

She picked up a fallen branch and used it as a prod to make sure the ground in front of her was dry enough. She started to make her way to the house she saw. She could get a better view. It was a small cabin with smoke coming out of a chimney on the side. There was no drive way or road visible. She kept making her way to it and finally emerged from the woods a few yards from the house. She saw no electrical wires or telephone wires going to the house. She did not see any hoses or spigots on the side of the house either. "Damn," she muttered, "off the freakin' grid! Just my luck." She saw a small chicken coop behind the house and a pig sty with a sow and four piglets. She then saw a rain barrel and made her way to it. She lifted off the lid and saw it was mostly full. She started washing her face in the water.

"What you doin' with ma drinkin' water?!" came an angry voice.
