Max hadn't even made it through the large dock bay door that led into Jam Pony but she could already hear Normal's incisive 'bip, bip, bips' A smile crossed her face, she had worked hard to create a normal life for herself and it felt good to get back to it.

Pedaling down the ramped entrance she looked to the lobby for her friend Cindy, finding her in the crowd her own worried gaze staring back at her. Max's smile faded as she saw what her friend looked so concerned about. Two sector cops stood next to Normal's desk, talking to him about something.

"Max!" Normal called out, noticing she had just arrived, his hand raised to point her out to the two cops. Max winced, any hopes that her prior counter was just coincidence dashed in a heartbeat. Whoever Frank was he wasn't playing games.

"Max Guevara?" one of the cops asked as he broke away from the conversation with Normal and approached her, his hand already reaching for the handcuffs on his belt.

There were eight other people in that lobby and Max could feel every single one of their eyes on her. Two cops weren't a problem; she could disarm them both before they even knew what was happening, but in plain sight of her friends and co-workers? What could she say to them when the questions started pouring in? She hardly thought "Girls kick ass, says so on a t-shirt" would cut it after witnessing her take down two men twice her size.

Running was always an option, it always was for her. But then she would be labeled a criminal, Normal would fire her, and there would be more questions that she could not answer. Whatever her choice she was boned.
