Mantis (MCU/Guardians of the Galaxy)

Portrayed by Pom Klementieff; Mantis is an empathic humanoid-insect like alien-hybrid of indeterminate species and a celestial. A member of the Guardians of the Galaxy, Mantis was raised by her father, Ego, who had kept her alive due to her empathic abilities being of use to him. Mantis acted as a sort of servant to Ego, calming the celestial's mind whenever it was at unease, until she met her half-brother and his merry band of misfits. Mantis, who was raised in isolation from the rest of the world... universe, is a bit naive, not just intellectually but also emotionally. Mantis can feel what other people's emotions are via touch and can force them to change their emotional state.

Naivety is sometimes a curse and may lead one to an embarrassing situation.
