Kendra

Josh perked up immediately as he heard the doorbell ring. Having just finished rinsing out the mess he made in the tub, he bolted for the door at once. The sight he met after opening the door was as astounding as ever. Kendra was dressed in a salacious blue sundress that matched the color of her eyes as perfectly as it hinted at the ample curves of her body. She made Josh's heart skip a beat every time he saw her, even after the three years they had been together.

"Hey babe!" she chirped cheerily. "What's that surprise you were talking about? I hope it's something fun!" Her boyfriend's cryptic text had managed to pique her curiosity, and her active mind had spent the interim imagining every possible sort of unexpected reveal. Would he do something foolish and propose to her at the age of 18? Was Josh going to spoil her with an early gift for her upcoming birthday? She had also suspected some form of romantic afternoon together, but judging from the casual state of Josh's attire and the modesty of the location of their meeting, Kendra had managed to rule that idea out.

Josh let the blonde bombshell inside and fired a cocky smile, full of newly gained confidence. "Well, it's a very big surprise, I can tell you that. I think it's best if I show you in private though." He grabbed her dainty hand with abounding eagerness, leading her toward his bedroom. As the pair of young lovers passed through the living room, however, the worst possible outcome occurred.

They passed by Jacob.

Standing tall in the center of the room, the man of the house was quick to spot his brother and his lover. "Oh, hey you two. What're ya up to?" Jacob meant the question earnestly. He cared for his younger brother, and it made him happy to see Josh happy, which was the common mood for Josh when he was with Kendra. On the other hand, Josh's beaming smile vanished the instant he saw his older brother was home, as it killed the mood for him completely. Josh gave a half-hearted explanation about how he and Kendra were going to watch a movie, at which Kendra protested.

"That's not what you told me. You said you had, and I quote, a 'big' surprise for me." By the time Kendra finished her sentence, however, she began feeling funny. There was something... different about Jacob. Some_ je ne sais quoi _that made her tremble ever so slightly, that made her faintly bite her lip, that made her gaze linger on him longer than she could explain. He was certainly an attractive man, but she had seen plenty of those at her school before, and she had never ever felt the way she currently felt.

Josh was red with embarrassment over Kendra's directness about the true objective, wondering if she was so oblivious as to not know what he had meant with his text. Jacob, the kind brother that he was, deflecting the slight sexual tension as best he could. With a chuckle, he responded to Kendra's proclamation, "Must be part of our genetics then. Well, you guys can just pretend I'm not here; I promise not to disturb you." He sat down on the sofa and began perusing his phone to signal that the younger couple could carry on.
