Hades

When Diana woke up, a three-headed dog was barking at her. It was wearing a collar attached to a chain and guarding a large wooden gate.

Then the gate opened and a black-haired woman dressed in the black equivalent of a classical Greek costume came through it.

"Down, boy," she said to the dog. "Down."

"Thank God you came," said Diana. "I don't know what I would have done. I didn't want to hurt your dog but if he had attacked--"

"Oh, Cerberus would never bite you," said the lady, scratching one of the dog's heads. "Deep down he is a friendly dog. He's only acting that way because you're a stranger. And even at that, his barks are worse than his bites."

"However," she added, "I wouldn't use the G-word too much down here. Unless you're addressing my husband, of course."

"Your husband?" asked Diana. "Who is your husband?"

"Hades, of course. And I am his wife Persephone, here to welcome you to the Underworld."
