Chapter 29 by grimbous grimbous

What's next?

Elsie's

(Another dark chapter. Also, no smut.)

You stare in disbelief at your older sister mentally tearing herself apart in front of her mirror. The words written on the glass, the roughly hacked hair, the excessive make up, and the Fiona's repeated mantra of "I hate you" spoken to her reflection. It was grotesque! Thank God you decided to come up to check on her. Thank God you knew how to get through her door so quickly.

Fiona, at her worst, could never have come up with something so soul crushingly destructive. But El...El was smart and imaginative and creative and deeply insightful. Where the old Fiona sought to dominate, this Elsie sought to destroy. An evil Elsie unleashed...was a terrifying thought.

"Elsie, what have you done?"

With a smooth even laugh that gave you goosebumps she replies. "It's about time Fiona faced up to what a terrible person she is." She then adds as her laughter wanes. "I didn't think you'd get to her so quickly. I didn't know you could get through her door so easily. Hardly fair brother. She needs more time."

Glancing back at your little sister you are shaken by the evil look in her eyes. "El..."

She interrupts you. "You're still too pretty Fiona. A monster like you ought to look like one. Cut your face Fiona. Cut your face with the scissors." A seething vicious anger bubbles to the surface. "Put it in your mouth and cut your cheeks open you ****, murdering, brother fucking bitch."

The sheer horror at what you hear escape Elsie's normally sweet lips leaves you stunned into silence for a moment.

Fiona's eyes widen and slowly looks down to her trembling hand that held the scissors. She whispers. "Yes Elsie." Very gradually she begins to lift the scissors to her face.

"NO!" You bolt forward and grab Fiona's hand by the wrist, with your other hand you wrench the scissors away from her. "Fiona stop. Don't listen to her."

In the saddest, most fragile voice you had ever heard she whimpers. "I can't...help it. I have...to listen. And...and...she's right!"

With that she breaks down completely. She almost collapses but you are there to catch her. Holding her up against you with one arm you reach out and place the scissors down on the dresser. Fiona falls apart in your arms. Burying her face in your chest she weeps and heaves with heavy sobs.

"I'm sorryyyy!"

You stroke her head and kiss it gently. "Shhhhh. Shhhh."

You look over to Elsie at a loss as to what to say. This was pure cruelty but Elsie wasn't herself. You were pretty damn sure she wasn't about to listen to reason. You had no idea how you could help El right now. All you knew now is that you had to protect Fiona. She was defenseless in her current state.

Her chin down and her dark threatening eyes focused on the pair of you she slowly walks from left to right. She reminded you of a shark circling in for a sure kill.

"Fionaaaaa." Elsie says in a lilting teasing voice. "Fiona, Elsie's here Fiona."

Fiona trembles in your arms and burrows into you for safety and protection. She would crawl right inside of you if she could.

"Elsie, leave her alone." You warn her.

Elsie ignores you. "Fionaaaaa, Fionaaaaa. "

"I'm sorry." Fiona wails softly. "I'm so s-sorrry!"

Elsie laughs coldly. "Fiona honey, come here. Come to Elsie sweetie." She holds out her arms. "Tell me about this little letter you were gonna write me, huh?"

You hold your sister firm. "Leave her alone. You've done enough already."

Elsie cocks a curious brow. "Have I? Have I really?" Her disturbed smile fades. "I haven't even started yet."

"I'm not going to let you hurt her. Or have her hurt herself." You state. "You guys can talk when you're normal again."

"Fionaaaaa." Purrs your little sister. "Fionaaaa. Everyone hates you Fiona. We all know what you did now. We know what a monster you are now."

"Stop it!" You bark.

Fiona is a complete wreck in your arms. "I know...I know..." She mewls forlornly. "I'm...a monster."

"Good girl." Elsie encourages Fiona's self destructive thoughts. "Mom's always hated you, you know that. It was never the same after you killed Daddy, was it?"

"Noooo...Mommy..." Fiona says in despair. "...why...why doesn't she...love me?"

"Shhhh, she loves you Fiona." You assure her.

"He he he! No she doesn't. You know it, don't you Fiona? You can't blame her. You killed her husband. I'd hate you too if you took away the love of my life." Her eyes flick briefly to you before refocusing on her big-little sister. "Fionaaaa. Mom HATES you. You're nothing but a big cock to her...and now...you're not even that. You pathetic worthless little girl."

"SHUT UP!" You shout. "Stop it!"

"Or what big brother? We both know you won't lay a finger on me. Not...violently or...or sexually. You won't do a thing."

She had you there. You weren't about to tackle Elsie to the ground and gag her, but you couldn't let this continue. If she wasn't at it already Fiona was surely nearing a breaking point here. Permanent psychological damage may already have been inflicted with that stunt with the mirror.

"Fionaaaa...Fiona. You killed our Daddy Fiona. Why'd you kill our Daddy? Me and Jesse want to know. We miss Daddy, don't you?"

Putting your cheek against your older sister's head you whisper. "Don't listen. Don't you listen. I'm getting you out of here." You begin to lead Fiona toward the doorway, being very careful to keep your body between the two sisters. You were supposed to keep them here but quarantine be damned, you had to get Fiona out of here. You could not keep these two close to each other.

"Fionaaaaa....Fiona, why'd you hurt me Fiona? Why'd you hurt your little sister Fiona?" Elsie prods. "Why'd you **** me sister? Why'd you take my virginity?"

"I-I-I didn't...mean that...to happen..." Fiona manages to blurt out between sobs. "...please...please believe me. I wish...I wish..."

"No. I don't believe you Fiona. You are a monster and we don't want you here anymore. It would be so much easier for everyone...if you just weren't here anymore." Elsie was merciless, determined to do as much damage as possible while she could. "Mom hates you. Peg and Chloe hate you. After what you did to me, in that very dress, you know how I feel. And no matter what he says...even Jesse hates you too."

"No I don't!" You insist.

"All the time you bullied him. Degraded him. Belittled him. Emasculated him. How could he not hate you?" Elsie continues. "You are a terrible sister for him. You hurt him as much as you hurt me. You hurt us both. You disappoint Mom. You KILLED Dad. You are the worst thing to happen to this family. If you loved us...you'd go away...forever."

By this point you were leading, damn near carrying, Fiona down the stairs. "I'm...sorry..." Fiona whimpers and blubbers incoherently. "I...I'm so...so... I...I can't...say... I'm sorry..... I never...meant.... Too late.... Elsie...nooooo. Don't...don't say....that..."

"We'd all be so much happier if you just weren't around anymore. We don't want you, we don't need you, we don't love you!" Elsie's diatribe is relentless. "You are a monster. Human garbage. A worthless nothing."

You are at the front door. You grab Fiona's jacket and purse and a jacket for yourself as well. You start up your own dialogue to help to counter, or at least drown out, Elsie's. "Elsie's not herself Fiona. We love you. We do need you. Don't listen to her. Don't listen to anything she says. She is just trying to hurt you."

The whole time you are on the move. You are now out in the front yard and heading quickly for your car.

Elsie finally switches her focus to you. She is walking quickly right at your heels. "Where are you going Jesse? Chloe's? She'll get the virus. She's not immune like I am. Peg's? He he he! I'll find you there. Where you going brother? Where are you taking her?"

You get Fiona into the passenger seat. Locking the door you slam it shut so El can't drag her out. You turn your head to your little sister as you quickly walk around your vehicle. "We'll talk when you're better."

You see her cool cruel face twist in anger. "You weren't supposed to get to her so quickly! This isn't FAIR! This is my one chance to get back at her!"

"You don't mean that. I know you don't mean that." You open the driver's side door.

El was looking increasingly ****. "Wait. WAIT! Wait Jesse. Don't go. Don't go with her. I'm sorry. I...I'm feeling better now. Don't go!"

You get into your car and shut the door. In the blink of an eye you fish out your keys and start your engine. El in the meantime charges Fiona's door and pulls hard on the handle, only to discover it was locked. She glares at her sister through the window. The terrified Fiona melts under her withering gaze.

Through the glass she give Fiona her final order. "Fiona! Listen to me. When Jesse falls asleep tonight...go away. Go away and NEVER come back!"

Fiona, frightened and psychologically battered, nods her head obediently. "Yes Elsie. Yes Elsie. I'm sorry. Yes Elsie."

You slam your car into gear and peel out of your parking spot damn near leaving Elsie spinning in spot where she stood. You accelerate down the street as Fiona huddles into a weeping ball beside you. In your rear view mirror you watch El's curvaceous body, still clad in her school girl uniform with the torn open blouse, silhouetted by a streetlight walk to the center of the street and with disturbing calm watch your car speed away.
