Bethany's new start

It took a few moments to get squared away but, as Bethany stood there, in her apartment, she couldn't help but smile. The plane trip had been a nice surprise, even more so when she had landed and took her small bag of agency-provided clothes with her to the long-term parking lot. She didn't know quite what to expect when she took out the keys and plipped the alarm but when she spotted a small cross-over flashing its lights, she headed towards it. It wasn't fancy or a tricked out luxury ride but it was the newest year's model with a decent package for travel and hauling things. Besides, with a roof-rack and all-weather tires, she was sure it would be enough for her to do some exploring when she managed to get settled in.

"Welcome to your new home, Bethany," she mouthed, reading the small package on the table after she arrived at the apartment that she had picked out a few weeks earlier. It wasn't decorated beyond a few small token things, like a table and 2 chairs, a queen-sized bed and some basic items. There would be time for her to go shopping later on and add some touches, some color to the place, but she preferred to be on the basic side for the moment.

The rest of the day was spent taking a list of things she needed to pick up (things like groceries, utensils, cleaning supplies) and then pulling up a map to find different places to hit up. Walmart for groceries, Target for supplies, hitting up Amazon for other things. She had already set up her bank accounts and a quick jaunt down to the mailbox had her information, including bank account cards and checks, credit cards, everything needed to set things up for her.

With that being done, she then turned her attention to the work envelope sitting on the table. For extra security, and the ability to avoid having to go job hunting, she had selected the option for XChange to find her a job. She didn't want something in Marketing and a corporate 9-5 did not sound appealing in the least. Breaking the seal, she pulled out the pink folder and then opened it to reveal several job options, each with an affixed scannable tag to permit an instant job selection.
