I was really hoping that Indigo could have stood a chance, but Harper was able to very quickly shut her down. All that typing for Indi's level-up (see below), and needing absolutely none of it other than the final HP number.

First Evening Fight: Harper v. Indigo

Pre-fight:

Skye cast Cure Wounds on Melpomene. SP left: 4

Harper counters Indigo’s Mage Armor. SP left: 28

Round 1:

Harper (bonus action: bladesong, action: mind whip): SP left: 26, 15 to hit, Indigo HP left: 2, Indi lost reaction and chooses to move.

Indigo (run away): lost action, bonus action due to mind whip.

Round 2:

Harper (bonus action: Zephyr Strike, action: two attacks [non-lethal]): SP left: 27, 12, then 14 to hit, Indi very knocked out.

Second Evening Fight: Harper v Nogitsune

On the other hand, I expected Harper to lose this one rather quickly. While CR is an unreliable thing, 1v1ing a creature with a CR twice your level is a good way to lose quickly, even if we ignored the crazy low player HP right now. Speaking of a creature with double the CR, a monster stat block:

Nogitsune (Level 15 monster)

Damage Vulnerabilities: piercing damage from magic weapons wielded by good creatures

Damage Resistances: non-magical physical damage from non-silvered weapons

Damage Immunities: fire

HP: 170

Armor: 1

Innate Spellcasting: Nogitsune gains +2 to spellcasting rolls. All damage from these spells are turned into Fire damage. He can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:

  • At Will – Chromatic Orb, Detect Thoughts, Disguise Self
  • 1/day – Banishing Smite, Destructive Wave, Fly, Mass Suggestion, Staggering Smite, True Seeing

Limited Magic Immunity: Nogistune can’t be affected by spells of 6th level or lower unless he wishes to be. Nogitsune has advantage on resisting all other spell effects.

Multiattack: Nogitsune makes three dick attacks

Dick Attack: Melee Weapon Attack. Reach. +2 to hit.

  • Full success: 4 bludgeoning damage, 3 erotic damage
  • Partial success: 2 bludgeoning damage OR give a chance to free dodge as a “double or nothin’”
  • Fail: miss

Chromatic Orb. Ranged Spell Attack. Range 120 ft. +2 to hit

  • Full success: 6 fire damage
  • Partial success: 3 fire damage OR give a chance to free dodge as a “double or nothin’”
  • Fail: miss

Legendary Actions: Up to three times a round, Nogitsune can do one of the following at the end of an opposing creature’s turn, after any appropriate counter-attacks:

  • Attack – Make one weapon attack or cast Chromatic Orb
  • Chromatic Resistance – Nogitsune gains resistance to one of the following damage types of his choice: acid, cold, fire, lightning, poison, or thunder, until the start of his next turn.
  • Summon an Extra – Summon an Extra from his set. He drains the Extra of it’s lifeforce, regaining 5 HP.

Pre-fight:

Skye casts Cure Wounds again, targeting Indigo. SP left: 3

Nogitsune withdraws the power he loaned to Indigo. Indigo loses access to magic and pact features.

Round 1:

Nogi (bonus: staggering smite, triple cock whack): 9, 9, and 11 on attacks, Harper dead.

Third Evening Fight: Dea ex Machina.

The third fight is both the most one-sided and the most fair fight at the same time. In case the hints in the actual text did not make it clear, Skye's whole reason for being there was to let Eilistraee have a link to a normally locked down pocket dimension for this kind of emergency. For Eilistraee, the last time she had a stat block published was 3rd edition (5th edition kind of has an “if it has a stat block, you can kill it” attitude). I’m converting it into 5th edition (mostly in my head). Lvl 20 Bard (College of Swords), Lvl 20 Fighter (Champion; dual wielding focus), access to all spells within reason, no need to worry about SP, timing, or checks to maintain concentration). So this is a Level 40+ character (hard to figure out exactly how many levels the godlike spell stuff is worth) fighting a CR 15 creature.

Pre-Fight:

Nogi casts Mass Suggestion. Spell fizzles as concentration broke from Lovely Lady Lolly.

Eilistraee reaction plop Lovely Lady Lolly from Harper's inventory into Nogi's mouth, then casts Magic Jar, targeting Harper’s corpse.

Round 1:

Eilistraee (bonus action: cast Eilistraee’s Grace [a 3rd edition spell, using Tenser’s Transformation, reflavored as a substitute for the game roll conversion], action: 4 attacks [2 from each blade]): Harper Temp HP: 50, attacks alternate weapon, starting with longsword, 9, 13, 12, 12 on attacks, Nogi HP left: 97, Nogi cannot heal until Round 11, Nogi legendary action: dick whack, disadvantage due to estoc moonfire, 5, miss.

Nogi: counters with triple dick whack, disadvantage due to estoc moonfire, 9, 6, 10 on attacks, 10 to dodge mixed success, Harper Temp HP: 43.

Round 2:

Eilistraee (free action: cast Haste from ring, action: 4 attacks [as above], Haste action: Wish [Nogi gets a micropenis]): 11, 9, 11, 11 on attacks, Nogi dodge on missed success 10, Nogi HP left: 69, 11 on Wish roll, Nogi gets a micropenis, cannot use dick whack attacks anymore, Nogi legendary action: chromatic orb, double disadvantage due to melee range and estoc moonfire, 11, Harper Temp HP: 37

Nogi: Destructive Wave (positioned to hit everyone), 11 on positioning roll, Eilistraee reaction forcecages around the others, other protected, Harper Temp HP left: 27

Round 3:

Eilistraee (action: 4 attacks): 13, 12, 12, 13, on attacks [middle two strikes from the estoc], Nogi dead.
