To Cheat, Or Not To Cheat?

Anna

There was only one thing to do, or rather, one woman to do. Sara's best friend since high school. Anna.

Josh quickly finished loading his shopping and got into his car. Not to drive away, but to ensure privacy for the call he had to make next.

Anna wouldn't have been an obvious target to an outside observer. An ardent and fearless advocate of women's rights for as long as he'd known her (longer, according to Sara), Anna needed almost no prompting to go off on a tirade about the unjust tyranny of the minority sex. Not because she didn't like having to buy men drinks when she hit on them, or because she'd gotten friendzoned in highschool, or any of the other usual bullshit. No, Anna was genuine in her convictions, she truly believed in fighting the injustices suffered by women in the modern world.

He'd always admired that about her.

But it obviously shouldn't have made her a viable target for cuckolding his girlfriend.

Except for one very important fact. Something Josh only knew because Anna, having long ago gotten comfortable around, had once been just a little too slow to close her Pedicheck account when he walked up behind her.

He had no idea what her entire pedigree was, but he did know what the most strongly inherited part was, and he therefore knew exactly why a girl like Anna was so careful to hide it.

She might not look it, with her ambiguously Asian features and her short stature, but Anna the crusading feminist had an Irish grandmother.

And with the phone in his hands, Josh knew he'd have absolutely no problem obtaining enough money to buy his new **** girl.

All it took was a few quick rules regarding men with a certain combination of birthday, hair colour, and initials and Josh (along with two men in Europe and a third in Taiwan) found his phone buzzing with an e-mail from the government about his qualification for a certain secretive fund. A fund whose limits lay far above anything Josh could see himself spending in his lifetime. Even if he went and bought a whole harem of **** girls.

Not that that particular fantasy held much appeal when he considered it seriously. No matter how beautiful they might be, a horde of strangers couldn't hold a candle to Anna. To his friend.

Thinking of her that way was sobering. A reminder that the women he was thinking of buying wasn't just some toy. There were people who cared about her. Hell, he cared about her. That was the whole reason that he had her parents' number in his contacts and this plan was even possible, and as enthusiastic as he knew they'd be if he offered the kind of money he was thinking of for her, Josh had to wonder if she'd feel the same way.

Ethnicity was a powerful thing, but people were still individuals.

Maybe this whole thing was a bad idea? Maybe he should just suck it up and hire a couple escorts to make Sara's fantasies come true? Maybe she had a few Polish friends he didn't know about yet?

Or maybe he should offer Anna's parents even more money than he'd been thinking of? Enough that even the stubbornest Celtic girl would be blown away by the gesture.

Then again, was she really worth it?

Josh...
