Chapter 11 by ThomasMoro ThomasMoro

What happens next?

An offer she can't refuse?

"Don't listen to her, Will," said Xander. "She's obviously trying to trick you."

"Maybe," said Willow.

Then she turned toward Xander and said, "But she's offering me Tara, Xander. My Tara. The closest thing to a kindred spirit I've ever met. Sure, Kennedy was fun and so were some of the women I have been with since her -- but Tara was always my favorite. The one who most got me. The one I loved most. I would have laid down my life for Tara."

"I think that Nazi Amy knows that," said Xander. "That's why she seems so eager to have you make that wish. Not to benefit you or Tara -- but to benefit her."

"Damn it, Xander," said Willow. "Just because things never worked out with most of the various women that you knew in your lifetime doesn't mean you have to ruin my first chance at real happiness since I got here."

"I just think you'd be making a big mistake if you listen to her," said Xander. "Just ask yourself what Tara would want."

"Tara would want to be with me," said Willow. "I just know it. And I want to be with her. Even if it means giving up everything else in my -- whatever this is. Even if it means giving up my very so --"

And then the penny dropped.

And Willow turned back toward the woman whom Xander had called Nazi Amy and asked in a cold tone, "Okay, who are you?"

"Why, I'm Amy Madison," said the blonde-haired woman.

"No, who are you really?" asked Willow.

"Amy Madison from another timeline," said the blonde-haired woman. "Surely that concept is not too hard for you to grasp, is it?"

"No," said Willow. "Who are you really?"

The blonde-haired woman smiled.

But then she smirked.

Then she said, "I'm a woman with the power to bring Tara to you. That's all you need to know and that's all you have to know. So do we have a deal?"

"Go away," said Willow in a low but hard voice.

"You sure you don't want to think this over?" asked the blonde-haired woman.

"Go away!" cried Willow.

"Once this offer is refused, you aren't likely to get another chance," said the blonde-haired woman.

"GO AWAY!" shouted Willow.

"If you don't change your mind right now, you're going to regret it," said the blonde-haired woman.

"GO AWAY!" shouted Willow.

"I warned you," said the blonde-haired woman.

"GO AWAY!" shouted Willow.

And then, with a burst of smoke -- smoke that smelled suspiciously like sulfur, now that Willow thought about it -- the blonde-haired woman disappeared.

And then everything around Willow suddenly grew dark.
