Almost perfect, almost

Wanda's eye's darted in every direction as she speed walked down the street. Every time she passed a house she envisioned whole families staring out their windows and getting a glimpse of the bodacious brunette wearing nothing but a doormat. Such a provocative sight was sure to compile some residence to come out and yell at her or worse call the police.

"What kind of Mild mannered housewife has a police record for public indecency. Oh God!" she said to herself. Wanda braced herself. She expected at any minute for some kind of angry mob to form and come after her, but none came. The street was quiet except for the sound of her bare feet on concrete.

No one's coming. What's going on?

Looking around more carefully, Wanda couldn't see anyone in the houses. Had they all got to work?

A glitch maybe. Well whatever it is, this might finally be my chance to-

BARK BARK BARK!

Wanda nearly jumped out of her mat. She glanced behind herself to see the Rottweiler barreling towards her again, and it looked mad. She thought it wouldn't leave it's home. Looks like she was wrong.

Wanda immediately started running. She needed to get away, but she didn't know how. Wanda zigzagged through several streets of suburbia, passing dozens of house, and becoming even more lost then before.

"Good Doggie! Good Doggie!" Wanda yelled at her pursuer, "I-I'm sorry I kicked you. You want a treat?"

"BARK chomp BARK" the dog replied attempting to bite Wanda partially exposed butt.

"AH! Not that treatttt!" Wanda squealed as she picked up the pace.

As Wanda approached her fifth intersection, she saw something that made her heart stop. A minivan was at the stoplight about to turn onto the street she was on. Whatever miracle had kept these streets empty, whether it was her own powers or dumb luck, had just run out. This chance encounter left Wanda with two options. Keep going and face the unknown driver or run into another backyard and hope for the best.
