Chapter 24 by simmaster simmaster

What to do?

Add two of the strongest wolves.

Nothing says you have to leave the others just because they're not in the pack. And as you level up, your maximum pack size would probably increase and you could add the others. Also, rationally speaking, they weren't the best pack members you could find. Eventually you'd most likely replace them with stronger wolves or preferably even werewolves. They could be your friends without being in your pack, after all. But for now, having two wolves at your command would be great. So you choose two of the ones that seemed to gain the most XP from the battle, and mentally declare them members of your pack. You're not sure how it works, it just comes naturally.

Something makes a noise and you find that you got a new menu. You open it to unsurprisingly find that it's something of a "pack menu", displaying members and such.

Pack Leader: Alpha Werewolf (Mikael) - Lvl 16
Pack Members: Gray Wolf - Lvl 6, Gray Wolf - Lvl 6
Morale: Very Good
Influence: 0
Bonus XP: 0

Huh... From what you're getting from this, packs earn extra XP. Presumably to be distributed by you to whoever you think deserves it. The Influence thing confuses you a bit, but from the sounds of it, it affects what werewolf pack is higher up in the hierarchy. So at zero Influence, you probably have zero respect among other packs currently. The Morale's meaning is obvious, and the high value indicates that your actions have gotten you on pretty good terms with your new pack members.

Overall this seems like it could be useful and fun for you. Extra XP is a very nice thing to have, and a pair of wolves, even though their level isn't much to brag about, will make it easier to get said extra XP.

But now you have to ask yourself, is it time to move on to a different place? At level 16 you probably won't level up very fast from beginner elf heroes, and you got a feeling that you'll be attracting more werewolf hunters the longer you stay. That one you killed just now is bound to come back, most likely with his friend. So should you move somewhere else? And if so, where?

Should you stay or should you go?
