A teddy bear

A brown and cream teddy bear stares up at you with glassy eyes.

"Huh?" You grunt wondering who would send you such a thing.

You are certainly far past the point where people give you teddies as gifts. Maybe it's a joke but if it is you can't see the punchline.

Searching in the box for clues you find a handwritten note.

"Hi, I'm Benji" it reads "I'm your new best friend! Keep me close and I'll be happy. You want me to be happy, don't you?"

"Well, that doesn't explain anything." You think "In fact it raises a bunch of new questions."

You toss the note back in the box intending to donate the thing to goodwill first chance you get rather engaging with whatever weirdness is going on here...
