"Huh?" He blurted out, watching in shock as she stumbled back from the door. Horrified and afraid and rightly so, because without her make up Josh had no difficulty recognising the ethnicity she'd been hiding. Everyone and their blind grandmother knew what a **** Breed looked like.

The actual features were mostly Asian, which made sense given that the original breeding program had started out as an attempt to mix Japanese submission with a Filipino's love for bondage and the Laotian taste for humiliation and degradation. She trailed off into miserable hiccuping. Looking like she didn't know whether to threaten to cut his balls off or offer to do anything he wanted if he'd keep quiet.

He cut her off before she could make the decision, reaching down and ignoring her flinch as he offered her a hand, waiting patiently for her to calm down enough to take it.

"Anna." He said, "I heard you and Jess broke up. Thought you could use a friend."

She started crying again.

Eventually she calmed down enough to talk.

Even more eventually, she accepted that he really wasn't going to announce to the world that anyone who pushed the right buttons could turn her into the most depraved little **** slut imaginable.

"It was my grandma who let me stop hating myself for it. Let me stop hating my mom and her mom and every other mom who passed on this fucking curse."

Josh just hummed and offered her more ice cream as she continued.

"She was Irish, you know, but back when my grandad was looking to buy her she'd caught the eye of some big money guy. She could have gotten bought for twenty five grand, over a million in today's money, and every time she told me the story she'd tell me how badly she wanted it, how much she wanted to be worth that and how much I'd want the same thing one day." Anna finally managed a smile, watery and fierce at the same time. "Then she'd tell me how she told that guy to go fuck himself and got her dad to take my grandad's offer instead. Less than a dollar is what he paid for her, and she was proud to be a cheap slut so long as she could be his cheap slut. No matter what anyone else said. No matter what her body made her feel."

Josh nodded, dimly aware that he was learning just where the fierce champion of women's rights had come from. With how things were back then, Anna's great grandfather must have really loved his daughter to let her make a decision like that. No wonder Anna had such a passion for making things better...but he wasn't really seeing what it had to do with the other side of Anna's family tree.

Fortunately she kept talking. "She mad her choice, you know? She made it work for her, made her ethnicity work even though everybody thought it made her nothing but a peace of meat to trade around. That story always made me think that maybe I could do it to. Make things work. Find a way to enjoy what I am..." She started crying silently, wiping her tears away with every few words. She didn't need to continue. Josh could read the apartment well enough. From the hastily emptied cupboards to the clothes he could see spilled across her bedroom through the open door. Jess' photos were gone and the only things of hers that he could still see were firmly in the 'send it to me later' category. All of which made him feel like his best course of action was to keep making soothing noises and hugging her with one arm as she strip mined the ice cream tub.

In retrospect he'd kind of forgotten about Jess while he was planning his conquest of Anna, but he hadn't thought they were so serious. After Anna came out as bi a year ago he and Sara had both hoped it would be the missing piece. That she'd finally find a relationship that lasted longer than a week, but every time he'd seen Anna and Jess together they'd seemed distant, or angry at each other. Now he knew why, and maybe it was the bias of friendship talking but Jess didn't seem like she came out well in the dynamic he was picturing.

His phone was heavy in his pocket and yet another tangential action occurred to him as he considered just what rules might apply concerning someone's ex, and what those rules could be changed to...

He shook the thought away before his cock could become noticeable enough to give Anna a very mistaken impression. Or rather, a much more honest impression then he wanted to give her, because despite his better nature Josh was still incredibly turned on every time he thought about what he'd stumbled into. Plus, the option of buying her was still wide open and waiting for after he was done seducing her. Though with how she'd told her grandmother's story, he suddenly wasn't so sure if she'd prefer a ridiculously high price, or a humiliatingly low one.

Either way he had an armful of emotionally **** Anna, eating ice cream and snuggling against him. Trusting him.

The question was, what he was going to do with her?
