Chapter 6 by Rowenar Rowenar

Can she go? Does anything else happen?

A ship arrives

The Doctor glanced over to Phillips, who shrugged, taking far too long to answer. Bill fidgeted.

"Seems like we've got everything," the Doctor said. "Wait in the TARDIS."

Bill breathed a sigh of relief. She swallowed, mentally steeling herself for the nude run back to the time capsule; she turned, a little overwhelmed by just how far she had to go. Damn it, she couldn't wait until she could get dressed again.

She started running, squealing and cheeks burning as soon as she got out in the open. Her bare thighs rubbed against each other, her ass stayed as exposed as ever behind her, and her arms did a pitiful job at covering her up from those in front, especially because those in front were soon behind her, and getting to see more of her body.

She'd barely taken a couple of steps out from the open-air lab when, abruptly, the sky darkened. Hurrying, Bill didn't look up-

"Wait, Bill, stop!"

Bill yelped. Oh no, oh god no, she was meant to be somewhere private-

But the Doctor had sounded panicked. Legitimately panicked; Bill faltered, a whimper escaping her lips as she remained in the moment. Not wanting to turn around fully, she looked nervously over a bare shoulder. The Doctor had run closer, out from cover to stare up at the sky.

A ship had appeared. It had come out of nowhere, descending and then stopping with unnerving speed and dizzying precision, until it hung over the colony. Vast, intimidating just by how cold it looked more than any feature of design.

Of all the times...

"What is it?" Bill squeaked.

"Bad news," he said. "Phillips!" he turned suddenly. "Do you have any communication systems? Any way for everyone to hear me?"

"I, uh- Yes, just here. Why? Do you know who they are?"

"Afraid so," the Doctor said. A flicker of something passed across his face. "I should've guessed. We can't lead them to the TARDIS; if we draw their attention to it by going there, they'll know I'm here and I doubt they'll trust me then. So long as they don't identify the TARDIS they won't know it's me; they shouldn't have met me in this body."

Bill hesitated. She wanted to run back to the TARDIS, but apparently that was an otpion. And she definitely didn't want to stay out here!

In the end she opted to return to the Doctor, whimpering slightly. She sprinted, turning her back to expose her ass to yet more strangers, darting back into the lab as quickly as she could. Squeaking, she fidgeted on the spot nervously for a long few seconds before she spotted a machine not in use.

She ran over to that and knelt on the ground, using it for cover. She crossed both hands over her chest, silently cursing the fact the aliens had to arrive then. Why couldn't she have just stayed hiding in the TARDIS?!

"Hello everyone, this is the Doctor."

Suddenly she heard his voice. She glanced sideways to see him at another panel; his voice echoed, transmitted throughout the colony.

He glanced sideways, offering what would otherwise be an encouraging grin. It was tempered slightly by a look of worry in his eyes, and even more by Bill's squeal at the reminder he could see her naked.

"Some of you may have noticed the enormous alien ship hovering over your colony," the Doctor said. "If you haven't, just look up. I've met them before, and it answers a few questions I had. They're called the Viyrans. Their sole purpose is hunting down and eradicating viruses that were meant to have been destroyed long ago, biological weapons from a long-distant war. Impossibly advanced. There are viruses that give you luck, and the one that's affected this colony seems to be among them. No wonder they're here."

"That's good, isn't it?" Phillips said. "If they eradicate the viruses-"

"Oh, they cure it when they can," the Doctor said. "But if they can't, there's another way to kill a virus. Kill the hosts. And this one, impossible to detect, if I'm right I doubt they have any means to directly locate it either, let alone cure it."

Bill whimpered. Ok, great. Stuck naked on an alien planet that was about to be blown up, how could her day get any worse?

"Then what do we do?" Phillips said. "This isn't a military colony, we don't have weapons capable of taking on a whole ship!"

"I'm getting to that," the Doctor said. "Everyone, listen to me. Our best chance is if we convince the Viyrans that the virus they're tracking isn't here. If I'm right they can only detect it through the symptoms."

"It's not exactly subtle!" Bill yelped. "If I could hide the 'symptoms' I wouldn't be hiding over here!"

"Wrong way round. Hiding over there is what makes it clear you're infected," the Doctor said. "That goes for everyone. The men who are just carriers, the women who're displaying symptoms. Act like everything is normal, act like it's all fine. Like this is intentional."

"What?!" Bill squeaked.

"Say it's cultural, anything," the Doctor said. "But if they think you're naked by choice rather than by virus, they'll have no reason to stay. Everyone, act normal."

Bill gulped. Ok. That was how her day could get worse. Naked, on an alien world, and expected to not cover up, to act like she was fine with everyone seeing, well, all of her.

How does the deception go?
