The Vessel

The Vessel

Who will you become?

Chapter 1 by Dark_Warlock Dark_Warlock

Hey guys, Warlock here. I had forgotten to mention this when I first wrote my story, but this story is open for anyone to add any chapters they want, to fulfill and share any fantasies you might have. I am moderating it solely for the purpose to make sure that there is no plagiarism between chapters, and that the quality holds up between previous chapters. Anyway, I would love to see what you can come up with, and if you decide that you just want to enjoy the story as a reader, that's great too, any support is appreciated.

'Hello,' You hear as you wake up, 'and welcome to the ethereal plane. You likely have lots of questions right now.'

You look around, and see particles of varying colours molded into a maternal shape. As she speaks, you do not see her mouth moving, as her voice simply appears in your head. 'I will answer them the best that I can. I am The Ethereal Mother, and you are one of the Children, a soul with a large amount of power. This power is only able to be contained in specific vessels across all realities and universes, all of which have been selected by me.'

You take in the ethereal plane, and see large black swaths, void of anything. Near them are what appear to be windows into these universes she was talking about, filled with colours and shapes, few you can make out. 'You will be the new soul in one of these vessels, and the universe will bend around you. It may benefit you or it may harm you. When you enter a body, you will consume the old soul, and gain their memories.'

You know little, but understand more as she goes on. When you hear about consuming another soul, you get worried. 'Oh, do not worry, my child. Their souls were effectively husks, only serving to hold the body in place long enough for you to reach adulthood, which is when the power can be fully contained correctly. I am afraid that I do not have much longer, you are starting to deteriorate, having nothing to preserve you. I will, however, let you know that I cannot control what you do, but I hope you choose to be a good mortal.'

'Now, who will be your vessel?'
