Body Chaos Rodeo

Body Chaos Rodeo

Supernatural beings compete to control, conjoin, merge, and possess others in an exciting series of contests!

Chapter 1 by Yabusa Yabusa

There exists a city in the middle of the multiverse, floating in the ether between dimensions, that seems normal enough for most of the year. But for one rowdy month, the rodeo comes to town--and the chaos that ensues is a spectacle to behold!

This is no ordinary rodeo. Humans from Dimension 482 might recognize a rodeo as a place where other humans in big hats chase around animals to prove that they can dominate their four-legged quarry with ropes, horses, and sheer will. Some Pellians from Dimension 996 had been traveling through 482 at one point, and witnessed the event for themselves. They thought it was delightfully absurd. A competition focused around dominating some other creature faster and better than others? The Pellian species, a sort of squid-like race who take delight in engulfing or entering other solid bodies to control them, saw a huge potential in this sort of competition.

This was nearly a century ago that these entrepreneurial cephalopods decided to make their own rodeo. But they wanted to do it in their own way--the beings that were to be dominated should be other sentient ones, like they so enjoyed to do! And thus, the first possession-focused rodeo was born. The first year was a huge success, but they wanted more. More challenges, more participants, more ways to control others. In their interdimensional travels they came across beings of energy that could enter bodies without any effort, or beings that could combine symbiotically with others to form a seemingly new body partnership than they'd ever encountered. They'd seen demons fight for control over the same form, watched slimes maneuver solid forms around like absolute fools to fulfill their basest instincts in a new form.

It was all perfect, the squishy and mischievous Pellians loved it all. They expanded the rodeo, placing it in a dimensionally-neutral city accessible to all, and created a month-long celebration where beings could come from anywhere in the multiverse and try their hand at possessing, controlling, modifying bodies to prove whose techniques were the best, the fastest, the most enjoyable to watch. The Pellians didn't know what to call it other than 'chaos', and the name quickly stuck. After all, it was accurate! There was nothing more chaotic than watching someone fight for control over their own body, or trying to adapt to the changes their bodies had undergone in order to compete in an event.

To the Pellian's surprise, they found plenty of beings willing to participate as the 'victims' in the rodeo. Some simply enjoyed the control, used to those symbiotic relationships. Others didn't care what happened to them as long as the pay was good enough. Still others had their own talents and abilities to prove, to show they could resist the control of others. These beings were also invited to the rodeo, creating the ideal environment for an interdimensional competition to flourish and create endless memorable scenarios each year. Plenty of new categories were added to allow these participants to be both victims of the various events, or for them to cooperate under the direction and control of the contestants.

Today marked the 97th Annual Body Chaos Rodeo. Stretched across multiple arenas throughout the city, thousands of contestants, victims--called Targets--and cooperative bodies--called Allies--were preparing for their first events. The crowds screamed in excitement, reporters and cameras and commentators crammed themselves into the various booths above the roaring stands to watch the events unfold, and chaos was ready to be unleashed.

With so many events ready to start, the only question is where to begin.

Which Body Chaos competition is up?
