Witch do you choose

go after the rouge

there is no way you can pass up a chance like this, with your mind made up you scurry along the mine floor as fast as your small reptilian legs can carry you.

On the way, you almost trip over a few other dead kobolds most likely the handiwork of the adventurer and you feel a little extra motivation swell up in you.

the boss area where the chief stands guard is the closest thing to a living area in the mine and as you reach it you see the battle already in full swing.

the chief is a much larger kobold than the others he is also the only one to wear what could count as armour though not anything would protect against an opponent who knew how to aim and as a weapon, he was wilding an old long sword. from the looks of his health bar, it seems like the fight was in the final stretch, the Rouge expertly danced around his attacks and followed every action up with a slash or a stab all aimed at the weak spots in the armour.

realising you didn't have a lot of time you quickly pulled out your crossbow and started aiming at the adventurer her health bar had taken a few blows but nothing anyone would be concerned about at least not as long as they didn't realise what was about to happen.

the chief let out a pained snarl as he fell to the ground his health bar depleted and the adventurer relaxing and getting ready to loot his corpse and as you held your breath you pulled the trigger.

the bolt flew through the air making a wild swishing noise alerting the adventurer but when she turned around to assume a defensive stance it was already too late, the bolt hit her in the chest and a look of shock and disbelief came across her face as she flew backwards what was left of her health bar vanishing and her body hit the floor with a loud thud.

for a brief moment, you stood alone in the chief's area in complete silence until you felt a rush of energy course through you followed an announcement in your head.

Special abilities:

Pack Mentality - when a friendly is within 10 feet of you when attacking an enemy, deal 25% more damage.

Dark Sight - You can see in any form of darkness at the cost of being temporarily blinded by bright light.

Call for Help - allows you to call to your aid one nearby friendly of equal level to yourself.

you couldn't resist the urge to cheer as you looked at your stats it was a small boost but even a bit of progress was a welcome change in the dull existence of this mine. you had no time to lose, the rouge had nothing on her person that you could use at your level but there was no reason to be discouraged after all there were plenty of other adventurers out in the mine or if you felt lazy you could hide in one of the dark corners of the boss area and be ready when the next adventurer came to kill the chief.
