What If?... Disney Tried To Make Real Life Princesses

Profit. Profit. Profit.

For all Disney has a history of trying to market magic and wonder, in truth, like every large conglomerate, they just wanted to make more money. And as audiences and tastes grew and matured, what they had to do had to change. Film, television, streaming services, amusement parks, merchandising, toys... the list grew and grew, and with it, so did the threshold for novelty.

And while they'd tried animation, both traditional and CGI, the demand was still there for flesh and blood characters. But their traditional franchises hadn't had such success with this as the Marvel movies had, you didn't have A-list actresses associated with their classic Disney characters, particularly the princesses.

Eventually, some bright spark got the idea... why stop at just having an actress sign a merchandising deal? Why not pull out the stops, and try to actually make someone as close to a Disney princess as they could possibly be? The fans would love it, and it'd usher in a whole new age of actors becoming associated with their characters. Disney's vast wealth gave them access to things the public didn't know about, new technologies, ancient magics believed fictional to the public writ large... The process would be experimental of course, and perhaps not everyone would be fully informed before the process began, so perhaps the results could be a little unpredictable, but if it worked, it would be groundbreaking and lucrative!

So what do they try out first?
