Chapter 11 by Godzilla87 Godzilla87

What happens next?

Wakey, wakey

"We should just kill it and be done," said a female voice nearby. You slowly open your eyes. You are laying on your side in the same forest. You see a small campfire a few feet in front of you that must have been built by your captors.

Somehow you're still alive, but you can't move. Your hands are tied behind your back and your feet have been tied together as well. You're not gagged, but you don't speak. You are quite content to listen for the moment to the female voices coming from behind you to your left.

"No, it could help us," replied the other.

"How could it help us?" You recognize this voice belonging to the knight, Lydia. The other must be the priestess, Shana.

Lydia and Shana, Lydia and Shana, you say over and over in your head. There's no way you can fight out of this. You're gonna have to try talking your way out. You can't see either of them and you don't want to alert them that you're awake by moving your head. You need to figure a way out of your bindings, but more importantly you need health. It's very low, but a glorious fountain of health is a few feet in front on you. Your mouth almost waters at the sight of it.

"Well, it can speak," began Shana defending you. "So we can get information out of it. Maybe it knows where the treasure is?"

Treasure? You'd love to kill these two and take the treasure for yourself, You don't know anything about a treasure. You start racking your brain for any information you have about a treasure in the forest or secret place or anything.

"We don't need its help finding the treasure," said Lydia. "All we need to do is find the cave entrance marked on the map."

A silence fell between them. You listen harder, but nothing until finally the knight breaks the silence.

"You do still have the map?" Asked Lydia sternly.

"Well, I did, but a pick pocket must have stolen it before we left town," said Shana. You sense shame in her voice.

"Seriously?" Cried Lydia. "You lost it!"

You can't help, but smile. The priestess saves you again. What's this the third time? You're gonna have to thank her for all her stupidity after you end that knight once and for all.

Well, you're getting ahead of yourself. First off, you're tied up. Second, you have almost no health. Third, even if you had full health, the knight would end you with a single spell and there's no way you could get lucky enough to drop a tree on her again.

You do know of a cave, though. You've never been inside. There are too many high levels monsters in there that like to.....

And that gives you an idea. You need to level up to kill the knight. You need experience to level up. You need to kill players to gain experience, but you can also kill other monsters to gain experience from them......

But monsters who kill other monsters are the lowest of the low. They are despised by all. Do you really want to be one of those? Think of what people will say. Haha, who cares? You'll be so powerful, you can kill anyone who says anything at all. You imagine yourself a full-fledged demon king commanding an army of minions bringing darkness to the kingdom with you queen by your side. Your fantasy queen looks a great deal like Shana. You feel a certain stirring inside you again as you imagine your scantily clad queen, Shana, walking into your bedroom wearing her tattered priestess robes showing off her ample cleavage, firm stomach, and toned thighs after yet another successful conquest on the battlefield, but you're ready for another conquest in the bedroom.

You've completely zoned out from the two heroines' conversation. The sound of their footsteps coming closer snaps you back to reality just as the fantasy was getting good. You close your eyes as you hear them walk in front of you.

"Wakey, wakey," said the knight. You slowly open your eyes. "Time to see if you're worth sparing."

You just lay there in silence staring at the two of them. The knight is wearing her full armor again, all but her helm, but you realize you still have the leather pants on.

"I'll be getting those back," said the knight as if she read your mind. "Now there's only one way you're getting out of this and that's by telling us where the entrance to the Salt Caves are."

Salt caves? You wonder. Never heard of them, but what the hell. You nod in response.

"Hmm, seems you understand," said the knight. "Speak! Where is the entrance?"

"I can't say, but I can show you," you say to them.

"See I told you," cried the priestess. "It can help us. And you wanted to kill it for the experience. It's probably not even worth ten points."

Ouch, she's going to pay for that. Oh she'll pay alright.

"You'll take us to the cave and we'll set you free after we get inside," said the knight know as Lydia. "But if I even think you're going to betray us, I'll kill you on the spot. Understand?"

Doesn't seem to be much of a choice, but there are always choices to be made and consequences to be had.

What is your answer? Do you agree to help?
