Unfortunately Max and Vera never show.

As the world loads in you rise up, drawing up your power, and smile a vulpine grin. You instinctively know that about 14 hours have passed since the dungeon last went dormant, so you would have to guess that 'Max and Vera' were still in town when their Friends re-spawned there, and the party decided to try some easier areas before they come back to face you and yours again...

And speaking of which, you look around and count your ghoul minions and: ~One, two, three, four, five: SIX, SEVEN?~ You think in confusion. It has been YEARS since your last level up when you became a pack leader, and in all that time you have always had only five ghouls under you...

~What else changed with my level up?~ You wonder.
