Let’s take a deeper look into...
To the West in Craggy Lands
All too often, many of the bestial, flying, elemental-breathing lizards of the modern age get referred to as "Dragons". In actuality, these creatures are Drakes, the lesser children of Dragons. True Dragons are extinct in this day and age, only old bones and sacred sites remain of this primordial race that was birthed at the beginning of the world. Even those could be considered lies due to the passage of time, so any theoretical ages having passed that the Dragons themselves are utter legend, their unintended and misbegotten offspring confused for them. You'd be lucky to find a being alive today who knows about True Dragons or have found one of their gravesites.
However, if you were to go to sea and travel far enough west, you'll find new shores...Drakenhein. A land of crags and mountains, plateaus and canyons; this is the land that was the first and last home of True Dragons. And in this land, the descendants of Dragons and the primal magic of Dragons last to this day and seeps into the very soil of the land.
In this land, there are many threats one must be careful of. In this land, there is many variances of drakes and thriving swarms of sea serpents, tribalistic lizardmen, giant insectoid monstrosities that separate themselves via hiveminded colonies and empires, giant subterranean worms, and...of course, the ruling society that had made this place home. This civilization that has come to worship the dragons like dead gods meant to come back to life call themselves the "Draco-Mortis Tribunal".
This is the only noteworthy faction in the entirety of Drakenhein, the only major player to the future of Aesyr, as they are the only ones with a military and navy to have actually touched ground on the mainland, though this was thousands of years ago. So, unlike other lectures where we talk about the many different factions that make up the politics of the land, we'll instead be going into detail the races that make up the Draco-Mortis Tribunal and how they shape the society.

Kobolds, Low Tier -
If Drakes are the misbegotten children of Dragons, then the Kobolds are the abused and neglected offspring of the grandchildren of Dragons, the Draksons. The Kobolds are the new kids on the block, the youngest of all Dragonkin species, but the one with the short end of the stick. So diluted is the dragonblood within the Kobolds, that they do not possess any magic capability, thus are the contempt of all other Dragonkin, especially their Drakson parents and masters. Now nothing more than slaves and cannon fodder, they hold no political power.

Draksons, Mid Tier -
Drakson is a term derived from "Drake" and "Son", implicating what this species are purely by their name. Continuing the magical connection decline in the Dragonkin series of species, the Draksons are children of Drakes. This would imply that the survivability of Drakes are on the decline and are endangered. Draksons make up the majority of Tribunal society and make up two of the three seats of ruling power. Effectively, one can consider them the most important factor to making Tribunal society functional, even if they aren't the central authority of rule.
____________________________
Wyrmlings, High Tier -
A curious case, the Wyrmlings are. They are siblings to the Drakes that are only birthed within the past few centuries, beating even the Kobolds in terms of age as a species, but they are...unique. The Draksons deigned the Wyrmlings as sacred creatures and the Wyrmlings took this power and ran with it. They make up the religious heads of Tribunal society, taking up the biggest seat of authority within the three seats of power. This is due to their claim that they speak with the spirits of their dead parents and through them, the will of the Dragons can finally be enacted upon the world. It does go without saying, that the Wyrmlings are the most powerful natural magi within the Draco-Mortis Tribunal's ranks.

Conflicts of Divine Interest
When Pantheons Misbehave
The world of Aesyr is a world of divinity and conflict. Three sides with their own believes collide in battles of war and political intrigue. But one thing is consistent...the ever evolving pantheon. The gods switch out their own rulers in a cosmic lottery. This year, it just so happens to have all the gods and goddesses of lust and conquest to be victorious.
