Chapter 4 by SkyDreamer SkyDreamer

Guides on the following:

Time and exploration

When a character is in combat, a sex scene, dialogue with an NPC, or some other precise interaction, time will move at a negligible rate to allow for the events to play out logically. Often times encounters will be put on pause during such scenes, to avoid interrupting them. Any GM post which does not have an encounter will also not provide XP.

However, if a character is generically wandering, exploring, resting etc. then each GM post will skip ahead a quadrant of the day, cycling through Morning, Afternoon, Evening, Night.

There will always be an encounter on these kinds of time jumps. However, if the player ended such a chapter with the decision to explore, then a second encounter can also trigger.

If the player stated the purpose of their exploration to look for something in particular, have them make a KNOWLEDGE roll. If their roll beats the DC (Difficulty Class) of what they're looking for, then the second encounter will be related to their search.

The DC can be set logically based on what they're looking for. So a river might have a DC of 8 or 9, while a village could have a higher DC of 12. Looking for "fruit" could have an average DC of 10, while looking specifically for "peaches" could have a much higher DC of 18, and so on.
