Three days back - the ring of the doorbell

The doorbell rings and you move quickly to answer it before your roommate does.

Through the peephole you see a blonde woman with a ponytail, wearing a padded leather jacket and pants. You'd assume she was a member of a biker gang if the outfit wasn't so anonymous, and she looks like she's in her mid-twenties. She turns around, moves back towards the door impatiently, looking at the peephole. You can tell she's tall, but her eyes are hidden behind a pair of modern shades. She has an intimidating demeanor and seems to be keeping her guard up.

You open the door, not sure what to expect. The day has been very weird so far. She gives you a look as she steps back from the opening door. "Are you Marcus Johnson?"

"Er, yes," you admit.

She nods and glances around the hallway before she pulls out a identity card from her jacket and hands it over to you. "I'm Frankie Anderson, Federal Bureau of the RC department."

"RC department?"

"Yeah we can talk about that, but do you mind letting me in so..."

"Yeah, sure," you say as you step aside and let Frankie step inside, closing the door behind her. "Well, the RC stands for Reality Conservation and we approach weird cases like the one you mentioned on the phone," she explains in a hushed tone as she pulls off her leather jacket, revealing a black tank top showing off muscled arms. She certainly works out

"Yeah- about that... I was calling the campus administration to check if there's been a issue in the dormitory bookings."

"Yeah, we have AI surveillance on all phone calls- and your call raised quite a few red flags within seconds," Frankie replied as she held a hand out for her card, which you gave back to her without really looking at it.

"That sounds very illegal," you reply, eliciting a shrug from the blonde woman as she pulls out her phone.

"You might have noticed we're living in... interesting times. That's actually one of the reasons I'm here in person talking to you."

"How so?"

"You noticed the changes to your roommate. You were calling the administration to check if there had been a mix-up, loss of keys, if it's all a prank. Where's your roommate right now?"

"She- They're in the kitchen I believe," you say and move down the small hallway. You open the door to the kitchen and reveal the issue to Frankie.

"Ah, yes. Not much Daniel Richardson in this one," Frankie says as she leans into the kitchen to get a closer look. The girl in the kitchen is not really paying any attention, nose in her phone and one hand chewing on a pair of pink sunglasses. Her cut microshorts are unbuttoned and if she wasn't waxed you'd definitely have seen her bush poking up above her thread of a bikini bottom.

"She says she's Dani Richy, and that we've lived together for the past year," you mutter to explain. "I've never seen her, but she knows a lot of stuff me and Daniel's been talking about. and we started sharing dorms the past year."

"Living together?" Frankie asks with a hint of smirk on her face, taking a picture of Dani with her phone.

"Apparently we're in a open relationship and I'm her backup boyfriend."

"Oof," Frankie scoffed in sympathy and closed the door to the kitchen. "Well, at least we got a suspect now."

"A suspect? Someone did this illegally?"

"Well I can't prove it, but usually when a guy gets turned into a slutty girl, the odds are usually in favor of it being a kid not following the uncle Ben philosophy."

"With great power comes great responsibility?"

"Indeed," Frankie muttered as she scrolled through her phone, pushing some buttons. "Most of these cases are kids coming across tech on their electronics that can alter reality. Most of the stuff they've done has been turning rivals into sex slaves, or just giving themselves the powers to enslave and sculpt people with the snap of their fingers, at no personal consequence."

"There is tech like that around? That's insane! How long has this been a thing?"

"For a while. Most of the time we figure it out and undo the damages, erase memories, undo what we can. For example, I just took a picture and have extrapolated what's happened to Dany and could undo it with a click of a button, but that's curing the symptoms and not the disease."

"So you're looking to find the guy that did this to my roommate?"

"Or the girl. Though to be fair the odds are it's a guy, or at the very least someone with a dick," Frankie replied in a deadpan tone as she took a picture of you with her phone. "Ah, you've got a nice bit of Awareness from the looks of this analysis."

"What do you mean by Awareness? Also, Isn't that phone like a weapon? Did you just x-ray me?" you ask, confused and adrenaline beginning to pump in your veins as if someone with no gun discipline just waved a gun at your body.

"Sure is," Frankie beamed from behind her shades. " and by Awareness I mean you are sort of resistant to the changes, at the very least much more aware of them than others are. Would you mind helping me out a bit with the case? I can probably solve this in a minute, but I need a volunteer I can trust, and I think you'd find it enlightening. "
