What's next?

The next morning...

Your party heads out as soon as the morning sun rose. It had been a crazy night, but you're looking forward to the Wolfling's Den. After two hours and a couple of winding turns through the dense forest, you arrive at an unassuming cave entrance.

"This is it," Theoron announces. You raise your battlemace and walk forward. As the tank, it was your role to be the vanguard. Even though Eliza was in fact higher-leveled than you, and would completely beat you in a duel, she was far more fragile. Apparently she had been instantly killed by an ambush in one of their past attempts, foiling their progress.

Theoron's mage light lights the way forward. Just as you were wondering when the Wolflings were going to show up, a crossbow bolt pings off your shoulder-guard. You raise your mace. Bright pairs of eyes appear in the darkness. By the time they were all in sight, there were more than ten of them.

You below a warcry and charge forth, weapon raised high. The Wolflings react to your advance, raising their guards and dodging when you bring your weapon down in a heavy overhead swing. Unfortunately for them, they had no idea you were aiming for the destructive shockwave your attacks on the ground emitted.

The battlemace sinks into the ground, sending out a spiderweb of cracks. Although barely damaged, the Wolflings lose their footing. It was the distraction the rest of your party members needed. Theoron launched a hail of fireballs into their backline, decimating the ranged Wolflings. Eliza danced gracefully around, inserting her deadly daggers whenever an opportunity showed itself. Aside from buffs, Aranel practically sat out of this encounter. No one was seriously injured.

The last Wolflings fell to a fireball. Aranel surveyed the battlefield and let out a whistle.

"I'd say our chances at clearing this has just improved significantly."

You note that the skill has a rather high stamina cost for your current level, but the stamina bar still displayed 130/130. You guess this is the true meaning of your [Limitless Endurance]: the stamina statistic will not drop no matter what action you take.

The rest of the group collects the loot. With Aranel's signal, you continue down the cave. You arrive at a fork in the tunnel. To the right, Theoron warns, contains many traps but fewer guards. Left is through the heart of their barracks, swarming with armed Wolflings.
