What's next?
The minutes continue to stretch onward.
Jade waits for what feels like hours, though she doubts its been more than a few additional minutes. Either way, she can tell from the tremor in her muscles that she needs to move, to stretch, and soon.
Taking a deep breath, she stands, stretching her legs until they stop hurting so bad.
Quietly, Jade makes her way to the building's door, putting her ear to it in an effort to hear if there is anything making sounds outside. Hearing nothing, she reaches for the doorknob, turning it slowly and cracking the door open. With anxious slowness, she leans towards the cracked open door, trying to see if there is anyone outside.
