Ariel catches up to me and witnesses what's going on so he says, "We have to help them!"

Turning around I grin at him, "Of course we will, but you didn't specify who "them" is referring to."

He whisper yells at me. "Wait what?! I was talking about the humans you idiot, don't you remember why I gave you those blessings in the first place?"

I roll my eyes while saying, "Yeah, but do you remember which oaths I picked?"

His eyes widen and he reaches out foe my cloak, "No! Please wait!" But it's too late.

In the few seconds of bickering between us the sole Edward got overwhelmed, the largest of the male goblins latches onto his shield taking swipes at him with his dagger while the other two males zip past him to take Sophia to the ground. They cut open her clothes, exposing the wrinkled flesh of a woman in her forties, after a moment of examination they look disgusted and opt to kill her instead. At the same time Edward shakes off the goblin on his shield after taking a large slash to the cheek, launching him into the female, knocking both out. He swirls around to witness the lady he was tasked to protect getting stabbed, he cries out and charges the two on top of her, killing them both. However, he had been just a moment too late as the last stab dealt the finishing blow. He turns back to the pair lying on the floor, the woman wakes up in time to see and plead her life but he ignores them.

Sensing that it's time, I step into the road, taking my hood off and raising my upper right hand. I Imagine fire and say in my head, Elemental Bullet. Power surges through my veins and condenses in my hand. A large, egg sized ball of fire forms in front of it. The bullet doesn't move until I imagine letting it loose, and not a second too soon. Edward is in the middle of a downwards swing when my Fire Bullet impacts him in the chest. It explodes, engulfing his entire torso in brilliant red and orange flames. The fire is so bright that it momentarily blinds me, then a wave of heat passes over me and when I open my eyes there's a handful of popups.

I walk over to the goblins on the floor. The female cowers in my presence, cradling the still **** male. Taking a closer look at her, she has green eyes and teal hair in a short, chin-length bob. While her underwear is the same as the men, her "bra" is a strip of hide tied in the back. It's hanging on for dear life as it can just barely cover her fat, pointy, pine colored nipples while her areolae are left almost completely uncovered.

Opinion: Grateful for the assistance, but scared because you're multiple times her height and can use magic.

Aisha is interrupted by the male waking up, "What the? Ahh! Demon!" the instant he sees me he pries himself out of Aisha's grip and sprints into the forest.

She calls after him, "Wait! Gridz you coward!" But by the time she's halfway through her sentence he's already out of sight. She turns back to me and drops to her knees and pleads, "Please don't eat me!"

I reach my hand out to her and reassure her, "Don't worry, we're both creatures born of the Dark aren't we?"

She stares at me for a moment before hesitantly taking my hand, "I guess you're right, but you're a devil which means you're much closer to our goddesses."

I pull her up to her feet and a few questions, "If you don't mind I have a few things I'd like to ask you about. First; what's your name? And second; where do you live?"

She quickly answers, "M-my name is Aisha sir. I live in a small village southeast of here, it's maybe a half hour away, only a few miles from the human settlement that was built recently."

I flash her a smile, "Drop the sir Aisha, my name is Therus. Let's head back to your village, me and my partner have been wandering for a while. Ariel you can come out now!"

Behind me there's a rustling of leaves and out steps the disgruntled angel.

Aisha's mouth gapes as she shouts, "What the hell is an angel doing with a devil?!"

He averts his eyes and mumbles, "It wasn't by choice, if you must know."

I turn back to Aisha and say, "We should loot what we can before leaving."

Ariel tsks with his tongue, I face him but he says nothing. His arms are folded, his hands are clutched around his biceps, his face is turned away, and his teeth are clenched. So we begin to take what we can. Ariel just tries his best to ignore what's happening.
