The day is won

Petra manages to treat your few wounds while the guys search the body of the orcs. In total the group managed to kill eighteen orcs, including the shaman. Bax managed to **** an additional seven in the forest, to add to the eleven killed in the skirmish. Their bodies are dragged away into the forest by Bax who offers to dispose of them while the rest of you lick your wounds. As you begin to set up your sleeping roll, Bax returns from the forest looking oddly energized. Krest notices him and approaches angrily speaking loudly.

“Baxter what was that? Why on earth was there a shaman among them?” he gestures to the staff that still lies fallen on the ground.

“Dunno, guess he felt like taking a road trip.” Bax replies speaking nonchalantly. Petra perks up from her tent and she interjects.

“I was wondering that too. Aren’t orcish shamans a pretty big deal for a tribe? They usually lead them if there are no female orcs to lead.”

“My thoughts exactly.” Krest speaks up. “The only leader of a tribe wouldn’t let themselves be slain so easily, let alone have that small of a guard. I doubt they’d even bother personally oversee a scouting mission in person.”

“So, you guys think we’re dealin’ with an orc matriarch?” you say curiously. The camp falls silent for a moment before Bax speaks.

“I have no doubt in my mind that’s what we’re dealing with here. Such reckless waste of a shaman is a show of power no doubt.”

“We must alert the Adventurer’s Guild than.” Krest says looking towards town. “If such a threat exists so close to a settlement, they need to prepare a plan of action.”

“As much as I’d love to grind out orc heads, we might need backup here.” Bax says playfully.

“We think so too.” You say speaking on behalf of Petra who nods in agreement.

“Then it’s settled.” Krest says. “We’ll return to town tomorrow and alert the guild.” The party seems to reach a consensus as you each split your separate ways to sleep for the evening.
