Chapter 8 by WhiteFeathers WhiteFeathers

Where did this little whelp disappear to?

The Cradle of the Human.

The sun beat down upon me and it took a while before my eyes could actually could see anything but when I could I could only drop my jaw. I was atop a hill overlooking a village, one filled with humans as they went on their day selling, buying or playing as the farms in the distance worked on by farmers. The forest that covered the scape made everything seem contained in that small area with the rest being there just for the wild and made the path that lead away from this village towards the unknown.

For me this was scary, because this wasn't home. But I also saw opportunity when I saw the weak wolves and lacking levels of the village folk, I could hunt without dying here and maybe just maybe become strong enough to stage up and from there become strong enough to grasp my goal and let my wings shadow the world and mark some of it for my own.
I was worried about Ruby, but she was strong much like myself. She would move forward and grasp the opportunity we have been given in this world.

I noted the still open window which stated I couldn't increase the amount of elements I could use at this stage, it had stopped being error filled and a while keeping it open didn't seem to affect it anymore, meaning likely what happened wouldn't happen again. Glad and sad about this fact, I found an opponent among the trees and then flew down the hill towards a lone level 1 wolf and then call out "Wing Shot!" as my mana and depleted two orbs of energy shimmered before my wings before shooting forward 2 seconds later with my mana already restored by 17 points during the casting time.

The two orbs smashed into the wolf and I smiled as 2 "-18" rose from the body, but I instantly lost the smile when the wolf didn't fall over dead and instead charged at me while I was frozen in fear forcing me to take a body slam and hit the ground as I saw that I took 12 damage.

I then felt fear in my veins before I finally got a grip of myself, but the wolf was too close for the casting of Wing Shot. I had to improvise, maybe it was time to emulate the class I wanted... Samurai!

Just as it was about the hit with a bit attack, I used my wings to **** myself to back flip while forcing mana into my tail, and then in the air I let my wings open again so that I could balance myself in the air before shooting out with Petty Fire Dragon Breath at the bastard wolf.

The maneuver worked and I was glad I could see a small "-5" because of my tail attack before my fire breath striked the stunned wolf for "Weakness -10" per second the flames hit the wolf, but only requiring two hits before it shattering into particles which flowed into me. I stopped spewing fire before taking a breather and then finally addressing a pop up window opening, I looked up to see my reward.

[Through special actions within a battle, a Spell has been created; [Tail Blade]]
[Through usage of quick counter you have been granted +1 Agility and Dexterity]
[Wolf Loot has been added to inventory]
[12 XP has been earn in this battle]

I was the most curious about the loot I had acquired, as such I took my time to find my inventory. 10 minutes later and gaining 3 Intelligence by naming words that were like inventory, but I didn't know which resulted me somehow knowing them, I finally had a command that opened my inventory. "Open Inventory".

You can laugh, I had one in my own expense aswell. Anyway, in my inventory I found I could hold three types of items, Crafting items, crafted items and trophies and also money if you wanted to count that as a separate thing. I got wolf parts as crafting items and a bit of money, most likely it was all there to drop for Heroes.

I'd love to craft, but I was told that I required actual limbs that weren't useless for grabbing stuff to do crafting.

So that left only one thing to do, slaughter enough wildlife so that I could level up enough to stage up so that I might be able to have claws that were worth a damn. But first I needed to get myself familiar with the surroundings, and I was glad that I did.

I was resting on a tree when a group of Heroes walked by and gave me some interesting information while a stronger one covered in armor seemed to talk to a pair of woman that were covered in cloth of the religious sect which hid everything but both of their blue eyes and their curvy body which seemed quite off. What I learned was that this was a beginning place for Human Heroes, with three areas which could be used to train with ease. The Slime's Cave, The Farm area that had bandits that had taken over while the last place was a wolf den.

I needed to make a choice of where to go to level up and avoid Heroes, don't need to die because of them wanting to kill a rare mob and **** me to respawn at the crater at level 1 again without this opportunity again.

Place of Grinding?
