Chapter 8 by Thorn_ Thorn_

Join the rest of the tribe or start to wander?

Strike out on the road.

"Can't stay here." That's all there is to it. You might be stronger, but even your realize that you won't be able to rip apart just anybody yet. She doesn't speak but just takes a look at the horizon debating where to set off to. Neither of you have a particular destination, or any real idea what's outside of this little piece of land. On the upside, with all the new things stolen from that player, it's not as if you're empty handed. It's just hard to say how any of that stuff you found will be helpful.

Wandering aimlessly is fun until it gets annoying. That doesn't take long. Most of this place looks identical, with a road on the side and a perfectly neat tree lining that doesn't get in the way of the road. It's an exceptionally boring journey until there's finally the first sight of a change. A crossroad with multiple pathways and a wooden sign pointing in several directions. You could bother taking a look at it but...

"I feel like that way." Is all your sister offers as an explanation before straying off to the path to the right and that may as well be as good of a reason as any to choose your destination. It quickly proves to be a mistake, as this path gets more boring with only the clearing to keep company. It's more barren, along this road and there's only the expanse of grass plains to see.

"...the drop rate is completely bullshit. It takes too long to complete that quest." The male voice echoing across the roads, is still kind of a blurred figure but he isn't alone. There is a couple of people with him and from the way they sound, even you know a player character when you hear it. The twin version of yourself picks up on this as well. "Killing would make us stronger...but attacking just anyone would end bad, right?"

The memories of all the times that you have ran straight headfirst into battle are vivid. It does not end well. The urge to charge right up to them and start attacking is great but even with a better hit rate, it's obvious that doesn't mean you can just fight anyone. Formulating a plan, is almost a physically painful experience for your mind. "We look like them. If we don't attack them, they won't attack us?"

There's not really time to get deeper into it before the group approaches. The man in front is a knight in bright armor, followed by an archer girl, and a weak little looking man in a white dress. As soon as he makes eye contact, you're already readying your weapon expecting a fight.

Is there a fight on your hands?
