Smash the Balrog Core

You decide to do what she asks. The Core breaks like a glass ball, its shards cutting into your hand. The inside pour out, engulfing you in Hellfire. Much to your surprise, the flames begin to burn your skin. You watch your health points plummet at an alarming rate.

"Relax, it'll be over soon."

The Succubus's words chill you. Was this a trap? Did she have some kind of ulterior motive? And how was the fire burning you through your perfect fire immunity?

You succumb to the flames. It eats you to the core, turning you into a lifeless hulk of ash.

A split second later, the charred corpse explodes into a cloud of embers, and there you are, reborn and completely unharmed.

Your eyes widen at the improvements the Balrog Core has given you. A class change! Awesome!

"Oh. Then, hail you?"

The Succubus smiles. You're stricken by how beautiful she is.

"You pass the test, then."
"Test? What test?"

The Succubus gazes at Syl, who was still by your side.

"Before I say any more, that human will need to go." She said icily. Syl's wide smile did not despite the threat. She got up from the floor.

"I believe I have unfinished business with this demon."

"It matters not. You will leave, or I will kill you."
