Rupees

Rupees are the currency of the world in which IMPREGNATAR | ANARCHY takes place. A rupee resembles a cut gemstone longer than it is wide. A rupee laid lengthways across the width of an average human palm would have its tips poking over both edges of the hand.

A green rupee has a value of 1 rupee.

A blue rupee has a value of 5 rupees.

A red rupee has a value of 20 rupees.

A purple rupee has a value of 50 rupees.

A silver rupee has a value of 100 rupees.

A gold rupee has a value of 300 rupees.

Rupees are physical objects, and require appropriate inventory space to carry. However, there exist items known as Rupee Wallets. These exist in varying sizes, and can carry rupees up to a certain value, regardless of if they are put into the wallet in large or small denominations. The Rupee Wallet automatically converts rupees to the most convenient denominations, so you can always pay in exact change. Rupees and rupee wallets are always near-weightless, no matter how many rupees you are carrying.

A regular wallet holds up to 100 rupees.

A big wallet holds up to 1,000 rupees.

A giant wallet holds up to 10,000 rupees.

A colossal wallet holds up to 100,000 rupees.

An infinite wallet holds infinite rupees.

Rupees also have a magical property to them. They can be used as Arcane Focuses for certain levels of spells. A green rupee could be used as a focus for cantrips or 1st-level spells. A blue rupee could be used for 2nd-level spells and below. A red rupee for 3rd-level and below, and so on, culminating in a gold rupee being usable for 6th-level spells and below.

Any time a rupee is used for spellcasting, it has a chance to shatter and become worthless. The formula for this break chance is an "X/Y" chance of breaking, where X is the level of the spell being cast, and Y is the tier of rupee (1 for green up to 6 for gold).
