Run like Hell

You stare dumbly at the blood covered paladin as he hews down yet another of your co-workers. Suddenly you come to your senses. Whorebane is blocking the exit. Spinning around, you bolt for the stairs. If you can make it upstairs perhaps you can lock one of the bedroom doors to at least slow his progress. After that, well best to not get ahead of ourselves.

You are at the stairs quicker than you thought possible. The Paladin's heavy footsteps let you know he is closing in. With your 10 hit points you know one swing of his sword is all it will take to kill you. Not that dying was permanent - you'd actually been killed before when a stupid Hero had set the brothel on fire. But it still hurt like hell and besides you didn't want to give this asshole the satisfaction of getting xp at your expense.

You dart up the stairs. 6 steps to go ... 5 ... 4 ... 3 ... 2 ... You're going to make it!
