Making your move
The news of Alistair's **** sends shockwaves throughout Ferelden, many still reeling from the suddenness of the news. All reports talked of Darkspawn doing hit-and run-attacks, wreaking havoc throughout the countryside as Fereldan forces struggled to retaliate, before the late king and his close confidant decided to go to battle.
From personal accounts, the late King and his army went to meet the creatures and discovered too late that the darkspawn vastly outnumbered them. The ensuing clash lasted for a few hours before the Darkspawn initiated an illogical retreat. A day after the battle, Alistair's body was found beside a dead Alpha presumably leading the darkspawn. Mangled and brutalized, it was barely recognizable, and it was quickly hauled off of the battlefield to be cremated as per Fereldan custom.
"This is completely beyond our imagination," Said Leliana, "None of my little birds ever reported about a huge Darkspawn army, much less right under our noses! They must have used the Deep Roads, but that doesn't explain how they've evaded our notice!"
"Corypheus wanted us occupied in Orlais," You concluded, gnashing your teeth, "He made sure to do this so that we could not interfere or even take notice of his subjugating of the Darkspawn whilst we were fully focused on Imshael and his army in the Hinterlands!"
Looks of horror crossed your advisors' faces as they took in the news.
"Our prospects are bleak, I'm afraid," Said Josephine, "With the lack of a clear heir to the throne, the nobles fear for the future of Ferelden and are already failing to come to a clear consensus, and they lack directive on how to proceed with dealing with the Darkspawn threat."
"Makes me want to punch them hard in the faces," You said, "And what of Queen Anora?"
"For now, she is managing to stabilize the court," Said Josephine, "But she does not have as much control over the Bannorn as others would believe; they squabble over certain things here and there, and no one has even bothered to help Her Majesty regain control of the situation."
"Then it's time we rectify that," You said, "And Cullen, I want you to position some of our troops in Ferelden, particularly close to Denerim if possible."
"It will be done, Your Worship," Said Cullen.
Ferelden had seen better days since you last left it. Thankfully, Highever was mostly unharmed - your family included - and many of the other Arlings and fiefdoms further from the capital, but conversely, the capital and much of the surrounding area was devastated by the Darkspawn ****.
Many hamlets and villages were little more than desolate ruins, their inhabitants slain or taken away. Nobles and commoners alike lay cold and lifeless, their blood irrigating the soil.
Denerim was by far the worst, with only the mighty Fort Drakon still standing and mostly intact. The rest of the city was a smoking ruin, and even now the work of carting off corpses to burn was ongoing.
With King Alistair's funeral concluded, the nobles held a Landsmeet in the Royal Palace to discuss how to handle any resurgence of the Darkspawn threat. The moment you entered the Palace however, it became clear the nobles had absolutely no intention of entertaining your visit.
"Look, it's the Inquisitor!"
"Damn him, where was he when Ferelden was burning!?"
"He's been bribed by the Orlesians, I say! Get him out!"
Despite Anora's pleas for order, the nobles began playing the blame game of blaming you for their troubles, rather than acting like mature professionals at work, and you were so tempted to simply get rid of these buffoons with the end of a sword.
But that would simply feed fuel to a fire you did not need, and so you simply say, "If you really want to waste your time blaming me, I'm more than happy to let you all die at the hands of the Darkspawn. Or would you like for me to expose every dirty little secret you have?"
The sheer level of intimidation you radiated, combined with your no-nonsense attitude and your menacing smile, served to make all the nobles quieten down in fear, some even swallowing instinctively.
"My thanks, Lord Inquisitor," Said Anora, who rose from her throne, "I'm sure you've already seen the devastation on your way here, but Ferelden has already lost half its army trying to repel the Darkspawn, and so we find ourselves in need of the Inquisition's help."
There were many grumblings, though they were silenced as you said, "It will take some time for the rest of our forces to arrive here, so I've already dispatched scouts in the meantime. We should learn of their locations and possible targets once they return."
"Very good," Said Anora, "And I must ask: what exactly happened in Orlais?"
"The same thing that happened here in Ferelden - a huge Darkspawn army laying waste to the countryside," You said, "It required the huge majority of our armies to fend off, primarily because there were Venatori and powerful Demons among their ranks."
Gasps of disbelief were echoed among the Landsmeet, though you quickly cut them off.
"We did not know they were planning to attack Denerim until it was too late, and for that, you have my apologies," You said.
"It cannot be helped," Said Anora, "What's done is done, and it clearly shows that Corypheus and his lackeys possess tactical acumen we must be wary off. Know this: If we ever become lax in our guard, it shall spell our end, and so I order that we are to maintain maximal alertness at all times! Absolutely no one is to disobey this order, or they shall be found guilty of negligence and executed! Am I understood!?"
Swallowing in fear, the nobles were too happy to affirm their loyalty as they received her orders. You, however, could tell otherwise as they left the throne room save for your retinue and Queen Anora herself.
"Lord Inquisitor Aiden, please see me in my private quarters later," Said Anora, as she briskly walked away.
"Inquisitor?" Asked Cullen.
"Go and organise our troops in the meantime, report to me later," You said.
Your advisors quickly leave to do their duties as you head to Anora's private quarters, and you were quickly accosted by the Queen as she wrapped you in a tender hug, her lips crashing on yours with hunger. You could see her eyes shedding tears of sadness however.
"Oh, Aiden," Said Anora, "Please... make me forget my sadness on my husband's ****, please. Otherwise, I might go mad!"
The night was spent fucking Anora and whispering naughty words in her ears until she was left moaning mindlessly and squirting rivers on her expensive bedsheets, filling her womb with your seed as you hammered her pussy and ass with your magnificent cock. In the morning, you kiss her sleeping form on the forehead before leaving for Skyhold.
Officially, the Inquisition never interfered on any nation's politics. Unofficially, Josephine and Leliana maintained spy networks within the courts of Ferelden and Orlais, regularly reporting on their state of affairs. Especially today, in the comfort of your throne as Vivienne sucks your cock eagerly like a whore whilst Josie reads the report.
"...And Eamon's faction already plots to overthrow Anora. Again," She finished.
"Again? I've had enough of his shit," You stated, "Now I have to conjure a plan on how to nullify that wily old fox and his nest of spiders."
As you facefuck the Knight-Enchanter, you fall into deep deliberation as you brainstorm on ways to deal with your newfound political situation; Ferelden and Orlais were both reeling from the Darkspawn invasions, but the nobles hated the power and fame the Inquisition enjoyed, fearful that were they to make any concessions, they would have to surrender their own power.
Such was base Human nature: to never let go of power they have obtained.
Then, with enlightenment dawning upon you, you said, "Josie, tell Leliana to order her little birds to infiltrate their way through both Orlesian's and Ferelden's court. Subvert their power and cohesion by any mean necessary."
"B-both of them? Are you certain, Inquisitor?" She was surprised at the order.
"Absolutely. When the time's right, I want to see their silly faces turn sour when I unveil my final hand," You finished, "It's time I seize power from those incompetent louts and show them what it really means to play the Game."
Coincidentally, you shove the enchanter's head all the way down and finally let loose inside her, and Vivienne could only moan as her throat was lubricated with your sticky, salty semen. As your cock softened, Vivienne gasped for air as she swallowed your load, smiling lewdly and licking her lips.
"What about the Chantry? If they ever learn of your plan, they will surely move to counteract our efforts," Leliana questioned.
"The Chantry is nothing more than a bunch of old fools incapable making decisions in dire times such as these. I'm sure Vivienne here has many friends in their higher echelons. Isn't that right, my dear Knight-Enchanter?" You asked the dark skinned mage, her eyes affixed with yours.
"Yes, Inquisitor. Were it not for their recommendation, I would not have even managed to land my rank," She said, "Whether it's Empress Celene, the Great Game or the Chantry, you'll be able to get through all of them with only your word."
You had to admit, the thought of subduing the Empress into your cock-**** really turned you on.
"Then that's settled. Remember to keep this a secret; only Josie, Vivienne, Leliana, and by extension Cullen, can know about this," You warned, "For now, you're all dismissed. Back to your stations, all of you."
