He tries but ultimately...

'Merge...'

Hearing a familiar voice in his head, Scott first paled and then his eyes widened. Feeling weak, he staggered along the sand and Jane could feel something was up as she tried to hold him by the arm.

Slowing to a stop, she faced the college boy and studied his face, then furrowed her eyebrows and rubbed a hand on his shoulders.

"Hey kid, are you alright?"

Scott blinked a few times before he bit his lips. Although he wanted to dismiss his body feeling weird, there would be no benefit, so he shook his head. "Honestly, I'm not sure. I don't feel thirsty or anything...nor tired."

Jane curled her lips but glad the young man was being honest. There would be better people who could determine what's wrong with the boy but she figured she should at least guide him to his people. Plus, she didn't have a phone on her and it was left with her sisters who were currently relaxing.

"Are you with your family?" she asked.

Scott nodded. "Um...yes, they're settled somewhere along the main beach. They've probably tried to find a spot that's least crowded."

Jane hums. "If I don't see your family first, I'm going to head to my spot with my sisters and call for an ambulance, understand?"

Scott frowned but based on Jane's resolute expression, she wasn't going to ignore his current state. He could only keep his lips shut and nod, reluctantly.

'What's going on with me?' he wondered with a tightened expression.

Not wanting to risk having him stumble again, Jane pulls him closer to her and wraps an arm around his back for better support. Still feeling weak in his knees, he could only accept the close contact with some embarrassment.

He could feel the side of her chest touching his body and her hair smelled like lavender. That's enough for him to grow slightly aroused but he tried to temper himself, not wanting to make anything obvious underneath his trunks. What was troubling him the most though is that his heart started to beat stronger the longer Jane kept close to him. She seemed unaware of the college boy's declining state as he began sweating around his forehead.

Still, Scott pushed ahead, trying to hold out.

'Merge...'

Once again, he heard a voice, but he couldn't dwell on it right now. His breath began to shorten and he had a hard time focusing on himself as he stared at the busty samaritan and her lovely form.

'Merge...!'

Scott's mouth began to water and his eyes widened. He wanted to resist whatever was calling to him but was proving difficult. Trying to control himself, he shut his eyes tightly and shook his head violently.

Feeling his sharp movements, Jane stopped and observed him before widening his eyes to see his face already drenched in sweat. Quickly, she used her free hand to touch his forehead, only to find out that he suddenly was bursting with a fever!

"Shit! Hold on there, kid! Please!"

Trying to push him along, Jane paused on step forward as she felt something strange along her arm that was supporting Scott. Glancing over, her eyes widened in horror to see it submerged into the college boy's skin. His entire body felt hot and uncomfortably sticky as he stuck close to her one-piece bikini.

Partially fused, Jane felt faintish, however, she holds her breath and tries to calm down, then turns her head away. She knows that the summer heat had to be playing "tricks" on her as she tried to deny the reality of the situation.
