A much needed stiff drink.

It is a matter of moments into my afternoon workshop that my eyes seem to just glaze over. The professor drones on and on about various equations and why and when they're supposed to be used. Most of the time I have an ability to focus if only because I'm desperately trying to catch up but despite the unbelievable good fortune my love life has experienced, or maybe because of it, I'm completely caught up and utterly bored during the session.

45 minutes in and I have my phone out, texting all my contacts trying to figure out something to do. Luckily Holly texts me back inviting me over to her and Jessica's house for drinks. I respond that I'll be there as soon as I can and sneak out the back asking my neighbour to turn in my weeks' assignment for me.

Holly and Jess left the front door unlocked for me and when I come through I can hear music blaring from their speakers and a blender running. On their counter I see boxes of the rum Aor brought to the pool party.

Jessica is pouring the contents of one of the bottles into the blender when she looks up and sees me. Greeting me with a warm welcome and a hug that presses her chest firmly against mine, her purple hair sticking to my face and the buzzed side of her head rubbing against my ear. She is rarely this warm with me and I can't help but think she must be a little buzzed.

Holly confirms this when she comes around the counter and gives me a leaping, pouncing, playful hug. Wrapping her legs around my hips and kissing my cheek, "we're a bit lit already! That girl at the party hooked us up with her vendor that sells this rum, we're experimenting for a launch party at The Loft." Holly turns to her girlfriend and asks, "What was her name again? The one with the kid."

"Aor," I answer but Holly isn't asking me so she keeps prompting her girlfriend.

"Jess, the one with the boobs, you know the one. The one he isn't fucking."

"Aor," I answer again, "I didn't know you all had time to chat. I guess I should be careful what I say around you."

Jessica answers, "Aor," to Holly before addressing me, "no no, we have your back buddy. Here try this," and with that she turns off the blender and shoves the rim of the mixer towards my lips.

It is definitely sweet, a lot of rum, and is so strong it rattles my spine a little as goes down my throat, "we're going to call it 'Lady's Secret Helper.' It's going to be a specialty drink."

I panic as I swallow down the concoction, "it doesn't have...," remembering the powder Piya hooked the girls up with for their anniversary, "because if you're going to be serving that at the club I think we should warn people."

Holly and Jessica laugh and take turns telling me how they're fresh out of their supply and they wouldn't share with anyone if they had more anyway.

Holly then charges ahead into telling me all about their anniversary weekend. How they licked that powder off each other, how they fucked each other for hours. "I swear that stuff is so potent all Jess had to do was look at me and I would feel my clit throb."

"Come on now Holly, don't exaggerate," Jessica says as she leads us all to sit in the living room, "I did a lot more than look at you."

Holly responds by biting her lower lip and giving a sigh as she remembers every vulgar sex act her girlfriend and her shared, "oh God, remember when we took the strap-on into the shower!"

Both girls squirm a little in their seats as the recollect.

"Who... who fucked who?" I ask trying to picture my blonde ex-girlfriend/hookup/whatever and her beautiful purple-haired lover.

"That... that is none of your business," Jessica says with a smile while Holly indicates to me from behind her girlfriend's back that Jessica was the one getting fucked. Which surprised me but I chose not to push it.

It feels good to relax and unwind with the two of them. We listen to some music as they catch me up on everything that's been going on at The Loft all week and share some stories. They talk about tweaks to the recipe of their new signature drink and try to figure out how to not make it so overwhelmingly sweet.

The conversation switches over to me, and they ask me about the girls. They still don't agree as to who I should go for but since the pool party, they both agree its complicated seeing as both Yui and Piya are so amazing. Holly adores Piya and Jessica insists Yui would be good for me but they both get the appeal. Jessica asks which one fucks better and I respond "that, that you don't get to know."

"Fine, I'll just ask Aor which one likes fucking you best."

"Jessica! You wouldn't be starting shit again would you?" her blonde petite girlfriend lovingly scolds the purple-haired beauty before getting up from the couch and grabbing all three of our glasses to go refill them from the blender.

As Holly is gone Jessica leans towards me, crooking her fingers to get me to lean in to hear her whisper, "I'm going to propose to that blonde psycho." I look up and see Jessica smiling so widely, so radiantly, that she almost looks like a completely different person. Every edge to her gone to the wayside as she shares her exciting decision with me. She fishes out a platinum ring from her hip pocket to show it to me.

Before I can tell Jessica how happy I am for her Holly comes back into the room and Jessica quickly stashes the ring back into her pocket and signals me to keep quiet.

"If you don't want anyone to find out don't tell Aor," I say to her.

"Find out what?" Holly asks, and Jessica and I both scramble to cover.

As Holly hands off glasses full of "Lady Helpers," as she now calls them, announcing that to be a better name, she asks me, "so what are you going to do about the hotties you're banging?" she laughs at how she says that as she plops down on the couch between me and Jessica.

"I think I'm open to just about everything with them. They're amazing and I'm definitely lucky."

Holly and Jessica exchange looks of concern, whispering to each other before turning to me, "we don't think you should lead them on."

"I agree, I'm not leading them on."

"We don't want any of you all to get hurt," Holly says apparently speaking for the couple.

"I don't want that either. I think we're all open to whatever. I'm taking Piya on a special date."

"What is this a fucking dating show?" Holly blurts out before Jessica calms her girlfriend down.

"Holly, baby, no reason to get so worked up. He's a grown man and as long as he is honest with them I'm sure will work it out.

Holly seems unconvinced but Jessica seems to at least get where I'm coming from so I start talking directly to Jessica explaining how the I see this playing out.

"Plus, I think they'd choose each other over me in a heartbeat," I say, to which both women agree. "Everybody in it truly cares about each other, so I think it could work," to which Holly scoffs but Jessica agrees. "I mean there is no reason why I cant care about and sleep with both of them." Turning to Holly who is sipping on her drink like she is making a point. "I mean you and I are close and we used to fuck. I still care about you, and Jessica, and we don't fuck anymore. I really care about these girls so we'll see how it goes."

Holly puts her drink down and looks at me, "we're only close now because we didn't let ourselves catch feelings for each other. We were friends with benefits, coworkers who fucked, then became friends after I started hooking up with the super lesbian at work. Just be careful is all."

I nod solemnly at the advice before Jessica objects to being called super lesbian, "not everyone knew I was a lesbian when I started at the Loft."

Holly laughs, "baby, everyone knew." They both turn to me to settle it.

I throw my hands up in the air, backing away from the question, "I only knew when you started dating my ex."

Jessica looks smug and victorious as I say this but Holly isn't having any of it, "and before you knew?"

"Before you started dating Holly I was only 'pretty sure,' like 95%."

We all laugh and finish up our drinks. They wish me luck on my big date and try to find out what I have planned. I point out that they're now buddy-buddy with the gossip network so they'll have to find out after it happens.
