"These villagers are so dumb. All they do is stroll around the area," a warrior said to his companion. They were walking through the village towards the inn.

"I know, right? Like that cute girl over there. I've seen her walk by this exact spot so many times."

The cute girl in question, which happened to be you, froze. Overhearing their conversation seemed to snap you out of your thoughts. They were right, you realize. What have you been doing all your life?

"Hey, didn't she just stop?"

Not wanting to draw attention, you continue on your way home. You swing the door of your small cottage open. Inside, your father is sipping tea at the table.

"Welcome home, daughter."

"Good afternoon, father." You fidget as you approach him, not sure about the issue you're about to raise.

"Dad. It's strange, but I just realized I walk around the village every day, not doing anything."

"Not at all, silly girl. That's your job," he said. His expression was serene, as if he was lecturing you on a perfectly reasonable fact.

"My job is to do nothing my whole life, and die whenever monsters attack the village?"

Wow. Talk about a shitty destiny. No, you're not sure what happened, but those adventurer's words made you think. There's nothing stopping you from doing whatever you want, right? Then why not become an Adventurer? You call upon your status window, an action you had never thought of doing, yet came as naturally to you as breathing.

The only saving grace was the special ability, [Limitless Endurance]. It was probably why you could operate 24/7 without rest. A convenient ability given to an NPC whose only job was to be the background.
