Chapter 2 by AnonTea AnonTea

What are you?

A "difficult" postgame boss

You are Eth'aim, the Sculptor of Darkness. You respawn on your throne of obsidian glass deep within the Caverns of Kaligoth, inside your oppressive and dimly-lit throne room. The entrance to your chamber is accessible from the Caverns' starting area, despite the long walk your foes keep complaining about. You check your stats, and are faced with an ever-familiar sight.

You were meant to be one of the toughest bosses in the entire game, a challenge for the greatest of heroes to vanquish in order to gain a weapon of incredible power. A superboss, to put it simply.

That was how it was in your glory days. Your high speed and immunity to freeze made you difficult to hit, you had a rather high HP pool, your skills made you almost invincible in the dark, and you could one-shot some very tanky players with your swift attacks. Most importantly, you were equipped with an intellect as large as most heroines' titties - that is to say, you were pretty smart. How, you might ask, could one such as the great Sculptor possibly become nothing more than an XP farm?

A party consisting of a barbarian, a druid, a priestess and a fire mage spelled your final downfall. You remember that day clearly - you charged at the fire mage, hoping to prevent him from lighting up the room. Then the barbarian slammed into you, overriding your charge attack, and continued to do so keeping you permanently stunned. Most of your brethren have at least some immunity to stuns, but you have the misfortune of being the only extremely stunnable boss. Then it was revealed to the world that area poison attacks could easily annihilate your HP. After that, the heroes figured out they could make the torches brighter, forcing you to extinguish them to make use of your vast powers. You were the easiest superboss in the game, despite the fact that you were the first.

An alert informs you that a party's entering your chamber. You inspect the newcomers, the gears already turning in your head. A low-level Paladin, a Mage without S.E.-inflicting moves, a Musketeer, a healer... and no Bar-!

"Sorry guys for the AFK, had to get some food. I'm back."

...and a Barbarian with Stunning Slam...

At least they were quick.

After respawning, you...
