Heading to the guild, a day late

You manage to find the Adventurer’s Guild building, a welcome sight after an awful past day. The warm air of the room hits your skin as you enter. Determined to find some help you make your way to a front counter behind which sits an elven girl. She has shoulder length silver hair and vibrant blue eyes.

You speak as you approach. “Hello lass! I’m lookin’ to sign on as an adventurer. Got any work for me?”

She looks up at you. “Uh hello there.” She blushes before stammering out “I’m a guy, the name is Gilly by the way.”

Damn that’s a guy? Coulda fooled me.

“Er sorry.”

“It’s fine, I get that a lot. You look a bit under geared for adventuring though.”

“Yeah I lost my gear in a… well an unexpected way. Still tryin’ to get replacements.”

“I see.” Gilly looks perplexed. “My apologies mam, but we can’t recruit just anyone. You at least need something to protect yourself.”

“Could ya set me up with a weapon or something? I don’t need much.”

“Ahh we don’t sell weapons here actually. There is a smith down the street who sells simple gear for gold.”

I was worried that may be the case.

“Not exactly loaded up on gold right now…”

“That’s unfortunate you actually just missed a party looking for a fourth member. Maybe check with the local farmers? They’re always looking for people to help them out for silver.”

That might be what I’ll have to do then…

“Aye, worth a look then. Thanks.”
