Praying to Sekmet

To the morphworm, there really wasn't any plot or goal other than to leave the cave. But as Eirene, you have things you wanted to do. It was much better to strive towards a goal than to just flounder around.

But more importantly, Eirene was a paladin. That means you had a God now that is supposed to give you guidance in your journey. While the morphworm part of you wasn't exactly sure what this will do, that part of you is still you, and you're still a devout paladin of Sekmet. You have no doubt that Sekmet will not discriminate against you.

Tidying up your clothes and armor, you kneel to the ground and activate your Pray ability.

"Oh mighty Sekmet. Please give me guidance on what should I do." You prayed.

Sekmet materializes in the form of a robed man in front of her. "You have done well my paladin!" He exclaims. "For you have done something no-one else has done so far: you have converted a monster to my cause!"

You shook slightly at the appearance of Sekmet, for his praise is rare according to his priests.

"For your merit, I shall grant you additional powers and task you to go out and convert more to my cause!" Sekmet continues grandly, spreading his left hand towards her. "Your new... attachment will help you greatly in your new task. Remember, as long as you continue to act in my cause, you will always be blessed!"

After saying that, Sekmet disappeared and you slowly stood up. Digesting what you were told, you realize that in a way, this means that even if your current situation was due to the morphworm's Parasite ability, your god has truly linked the two beings together by considering you as his follower. You know that if you were just Eirene, this would be a bitter pill to swallow; but as the new you, you are overjoyed at being yourself and being acknowledged by your god. Ultimately, you also know that being the you right now is better and more fulfilling than being just the sums of your parts.

You needed some time to consider this and also to experiment. While you do not like the thought of returning to the city, you may just have to for lodging for the night... even though you had planned on traveling further away after completing the task here.
