Pit Trap

The Pit Trap is a really basic one, it's basically a large hole about 10 feet down, the opening of the pit is covered with what is basically a mesh of branches to hold everything up, a layer of leaves to support the dirt so it doesn't fall through, and a layer of dirt on top to hide it.

Like all the traps here it you or your people don't trigger it as you are too light.

When the trap is triggered the thing that triggered it falls into the hole, taking minimal damage when they hit the ground, it's the most common trap for players to trigger, also the easiest for them to get out of as it's usually fairly simple to climb out.

You don't like to get too close to the edge of it in case a player is inside with a bow, as you've found on more then one occasion that they will still try to shoot you.

As you approach you hear something where the trap is.
