Chapter 10 by madmage madmage

Now what?

Pillow Talk

Tripps idly traces a pattern on your neck, “So to recap, I’m currently laying on the chest of a dryad, corrupted by the evil nature of Griever’s Swamp, who earlier killed my partner.”
“That’s right.”
“I never liked that asshole anyway,” She said, “And said dryad lured me deeper into the swamp, where she led me to a safe place to rest. Then, after letting me get some decent sleep, she fucked me. Did I miss anything?”
“I also killed some heroes and stole their stuff.” You inform her, for the sake of honesty.
“So I just had sex with a hero slaying monster.” Tripps paused thoughtfully, “Is a bad thing that I’m okay with that?”
“It makes you a better person in my book.”
“Hmm.”
“So what quest brought you into the swamp anyway?” You ask, wanting to get to know your lover better. “Something about a drider?”
“Oh some merchant wants drider eggs,” Tripps said, “Or at least that was the main quest that has people headed for the swamp. I’m after something else. Information. The drider supposedly has instructions for reaching a village hidden deep in the swamp.”
“Oh she does.” You say, “However she’s pretty hostile during her mating season. You probably wouldn’t have gotten anything out of her.”
“A dead end than,” Tripps sighed and sat up, “I was so sure I had found a genuine lead this time.”
“A lead to what?” She piqued your curiosity, “Another quest you’re on?”
“It’s more of a dream really.” Tripps felt around for her pants, much to your disappointment. You liked looking at her bare ass. “There is this class, called Shadewalker, that is more rumour than anything else. My mother,” She absently rubbed her ear. You guess her mother was the elf then. “My mother used to tell me stories about them. Dark warriors that radiated fear like a dragon. Who could walk through the shadows, disappear into thin air. Ever since I was little I wanted to be one.”
“So why become a rogue than?” You wondered, “Why not just sign up for this Shadewalker class?”
“If I could have I would!” Tripps threw up her arms, ”But it’s not a basic class. You have to find a trainer willing to teach you. And no ones actually been a Shadewalker in centuries! So I have to track down every rumour, every clue. I’ve been looking all my life.” She sighed a lifetime of disappointment, “I’d be thankful if you could show me back to the entrance.”
It sounded like this meant a lot to her. And you did know were the village she’s looking for was located. It was hardly a secret, a bunch of humans living in this swamp. Most of the monsters just couldn’t use a language heroes understood. The few who could were the drider.
And yourself.

Where do you take her?
