On an 7-9, Shasta offers a trade

"Come here and kiss me, so I can taste you," you tell Shasta.

Shasta hesitates. "C'mon, I just taste like Cuervo like you do," she says.

"Cuervo's like perfume, it tastes different on everyone," you tell her.

Shasta laughs out loud. "If any of my old boyfriends were half the BSer you are, Tom, I'd-a kept him. Well, not Pete."

"You doing any better at college?" you ask.

Shasta gives you a sidelong glance. "A little," she says guardedly.

"I bet I kiss better," you tell her.

"Oh, all right," she says. "Trade you a kiss if, before we go back, you drive me down to..."

You smile. "I accept," you say.

Shasta leans forward hesitantly. You meet her lips. It's a real kiss, not a hi-goodbye-goodnight kind of kiss.

Shasta's move: Take you someplace else before going back home.
