Ming Zhao

Ming Zhao looks sad. "Oh. I understand."

She turns around and leaves. I begin to drink my water when Doug approaches me."

"Hey Ahab," he greets. "Listen, why don't you take the day off?"

"What?" I ask in shock.

"It seems this lady is feeling down and needs a friend to keep her company," he says. "She says she knows you and would feel safe around you."

I turn to see Ming Zhao standing at the bar, looking smug as hell.

"Well, you ain't going to refuse such a nice girl, are you?" Doug asks.
