Chapter 7 by 64bitcube 64bitcube

Quick, find another building to drop on her!

Maybe just inspect the situation.

Fortunately, it seems she is not awake just yet, or at least she's acting quite convincingly. More importantly, you're not gonna free up her hands until you figure out what to do about this. You figure that between her armor and the sizable pile of wreckage on top of her, that she won't be going anywhere anytime soon. After cautiously climbing a bit closer, you ensure that she's not in a position to reach for a weapon. As it turns out, you see her blade underneath some wood a few steps away.

Heh, 'to the victor go the spoils'. That's what one idiot had said to you a while back. The 'Hero' had been stripping you of my armor while you bled out, courtesy of his handiwork, of course. Never thought you'd appreciate it from this end of a fight. Now that you think about it, you should probably collect whatever equipment the other two corpses have as well. But that should wait for now.

The blade is a bit big, but surprisingly, you feel you know how to handle it effectively. Now that you think about it, you never learned how to use a blade. You've just... known. You never had more than your rebel-issued notched sword (that piece of junk, you'll never forget its sacrifice today), but this leaves you wondering: what other weapons can you use? But that too should wait. Maybe you took more of a hit to the head than you thought in the collapse earlier, because you're getting distracted far too easily.

More importantly, the Paladin's long sword needs to go over to the side. You prop the blade up in the debris, easily within your reach, but definitively beyond that of the 'restrained' woman. You also take a moment to cut free her bag, which is twisted to her side as she lies on her back. The bag takes a bit of effort to pull out through the wreckage on top of her, but you figure it's worth it. No need to risk her having any potions. Or acid. You already know what both of those can do in an enemies' hands.

Seriously, fuck acid.

You move back to the golden haired paladin, and clear off a bit of what's around her face. You know you made the whole 'epic monologue' earlier, and you are definitely proud of it, but for whatever reason, you want to savor this chance. You've been tortured to **** a few times yourself, and besides that, you feel a bit unclear on how to proceed from here. As you mull things over, you notice her skin is rather clear, and her cheekbones are just subtle enough to give her face an attractive set of angles. Of course, its been thoroughly soiled, and her blonde locks are a mess underneath both her head and the rubble. After staying crouched over her for a few minutes thinking about what to do with her, you grab the canteen that was strapped to the side of her bag.

You pop the cap, and give it a sniff; you don't smell anything suspicious. You pour a drop on some wood in front of you. Nothing happens. It looks like water. Tastes like it too.

Okay, not acid.

Perfect. With all the precautions out of the way, you pour out a sizable splash onto the blonde's face. Her eyes flutter for a second, before they wince as she begins coughing up what water she had breathed in.

"Rise and shine, miss hero."

How do you proceed?
